He seems to be in so much control. Only being here for 3 years it seems like he figures out players very fast and knows what string to pull. I like the fact he seems to allow the team to try and get out of a funk on the floor. Also, looks for match ups during games that we can take advantage. I would like to know if any of you see this also

I might dating myself but I've seen all you have mentioned since he was at K State in the 80's. I wanted to get him after Kelvin left. I'm extremely happy he's here. Been a big fan for a long time.

What I like is he doesn't micrmanage his players as much as some.

He let's them play and when they make mental mistakes, you can see him correct his players.

He is building a good program at OU that will be a consistent winner.

The really good coaches usually do a good job of teaching and encouraging their players.

Kruger seems to do a great job of doing both of those things. He also seems to have a very good eye for talent that allows him to find those under the radar players who fit his system.

Agreed with this statement 100%. One of my complaints about Kelvin was him saying things like - "shooting is not an equal opportunity job, if you are a shooter, shoot. If you are not, don't." While I understand that mentality, I think it makes you easier to defend if you have two or three players on the court that can't score. Which is one of the reasons many of Kelvin's teams had to grind it out. I love the fact LK has people who can score at every position - as evidenced by all five guys averaging double figures this year. Makes it really fun to watch. I never would have thought this, but LK is more like Billy than I ever thought.

I am a big Lon fan and hope he stays a long time. It's quite apparent why we really doled out $$ to draw him away from Vegas

I think Lon stays here tell he retires.I dont think he would have left UNLV to come here if he didnt think he could win us a couple Big 12 titles ad get us back to the Final 4!
