Llanuas,Johnson and Roberts at the Showcase in San Antonio

Here are my thoughts on last weekend performance's.

Llanusa
Pros- Very athletic and really score in transition and has really good court vision. Llanuas is a decent defender and works hard to create turnovers. She will be a true asset to OU!!!

Cons-- Llanuas struggles going left and is not a consistent 3 point shooter.

Johnson
Pros--- She's quick and can to get rim in the half court.

Cons--- Struggled with bigger guards that were physical! Johnson is constantly getting into altercation with players on the other team. She received two technical fouls this weekend and they only played three game. The AAU coach was visibly upset with her play! She struggled this weekend!!!

Roberts
Pros-- Big physical guard who can flat out score. She can shooter, handle the ball and attack the rim, she is really a good team player.

Cons-- Not sure she can guard a true point guard with really good quickness. Also I thought she was on the EYBL team before I got to Texas. I was told she wasn't at the try-outs last year that's why she wasn't on that team. I really wanted to see her play against the elite competition.

Good stuff, thanks! You and I have the same concern about Roberts. Will she struggle trying to defend really athletic, quick guards. But, the girl can flat score, no doubt about that! Did you find out which AAU team she is playing for?

Oblivion/Malcolm Roberts which is Taylor Roberts dad...let's start off with almost everything you put on this page is negative about Jo'Nah Johnson and that's because she's always played ahead of Taylor. I think it's pretty ridiculous that a grown man has so much spite for a young girl...it's truly sad, and people at the tournament knows that Jo'Nah got slammed by the other girl because it's on film.. You go around town talking to other so called men that has nothing to do but sit around talking about a young girl....since this kid was 8 or 9 years old.. I just don't know what else to say to you Malcolm except your pretty pathetic!!!

I had a feeling this was going to get ugly when I saw that comment. It is pretty obvious Johnson is a good player and hated by some of how good she is. That was pretty below the belt by oblivion so I knew it was something personal.

It's pretty obvious that Brewster is a family members of Johnson's I just wan to personally say she is a very good players and I enjoyed watching her play. I stated the things all the recruits needed to work on but I didn't take it that far! I guess it's the price you pay of being great.

I'm pretty sure it's more to the story about the techs. It's part of the game.
When I watched her play against Muskogee she was aggressive but did not have a bad attitude or anything. Seemed like a nice kid.

Brewster, could you give us info on the recruitment of Johnson? I'm always eager to get inside information when I want recruits to be a sooner!

Ps: if anyone on this board has anytning to say about recruits please do not say anything at all! Some of them read this board! It can hurt in recruiting!

Jo'Nah is a good kid...she's a kid....Jo'Nah is being looked at a lot of schools however her family wants her to still enjoy being a kid and not stressing about where she'll go...she's figuring out exactly wants to do/become past college and that will be a determining factor on where she decides to go...

You are mentioning and making a reference about Malcolm/ Coach Roberts I'm not him but if I was I would definitely have a major problem about saying his name in a negative way on this site. I'm a fan of OU and I do have connections about who is and is not being recruited and why! I will not hide behind anyone especially a coach who has nothing to do with my post! Next I wish I did know Coach Roberts so he can log on and defend himself! So sad!!!

Didn't call her out her name or anything, in fact he gave her more praise then Roberts... It sounds like Johnson plays with a lot of Passion, I think OU could use a guard like this... Roberts sounds like she could be putting up big numbers but is it do to the level she's playing at ? She could turn out like Adrian McGowen, who was a 2006 high school all American out of Texas and I think there states all time point scorer...

I don't know anything about the players mentioned above, except they could be recruiting targets of OU.

That noted, I will say that any player who has even the hint of trouble or a bad attitude or who cannot control herself on the floor is not going to get a very long look by Coach Coale.

Sherri is shown time and time again she doesn't want that type of player; doesn't have any patience with that type of player; and won't offer such a player.

I doubt that type of player even gets an offer from Sherri or even a visit.
