Llanusa Injured

Get well soon Ana the team is going to need her....

I wonder who will start now? Maybe Penzo or Dee.

We just have to have a player injured. Hope this is only for a couple of months. She can be a very steady force on a team of children.

I strongly suspect that we will see Jesse in her place. There may be an advantage in having Taylor come off the bench. Right now, you know that Shaina, Madi, and Tatum are starting. Probably will have Mandy for now. She's not doing badly.

I think both Bloom and Scott cab challenge Mady for the starting center position next year... that would be good and provide us with real depth.

Surgery went well. Absolutely perfect. Praying for a quick recovery. She would appreciate fans prayers!

Is Scott even a center though? this is where I think we may run into problems when we recruit. If we expect these Wings to play center because the rest of the team is short, are we likely to get them to come play for us at all? I know if I were a taller wing and a coach was recruiting me to play a 5 position I would not want to go to that respective School. Just my thoughts. I was thinking though with Scott and Gregory added to Shana, Williams and lanusa we could have a super quick, although shorter, team, kind of like what DePaul play with against us last year, or UConn (even though they have Samuelson)

Scott is an undersized 4, I’ve seen her listed between 6 foot and 6’1 she has a nice strong build and does most of her damage facing up towards the basket... Gregory looks to be the same, in the video I I’ve seen of Gabby she will bring the ball up the court and then go sit on the low block, she’s a good outside shooter tho, so I could see her still playing the 2-3 in college and using her post moves and size to her advantage vs smaller guards...

Some of this info is so interesting like you think gabby and Liz must be starters. Do you really believe gregory is a big 12 2 guard? She will play wing or forward. Look at who we have and who they were recruited by. Gabby will play the same role as Madi but Madi is much better with ball in hands and gabby is a better shooter. You see gabby in games against hs dribble but her speed is not capable of a 2. Madi is capable but her passing isn’t there Shaina will play and be the dominant 2 for OU she would not of been pulled from pg this year If that wasn’t the case. If she was the primary pg her scoring would be lower with forced shots- Shaina now has others around her making her better. Liz isn’t really a 5 but i don’t think we have a 5 this year. We will play two forwards much like uconn. The strongest will be liz and Madi because of rebounding alone. That will be the biggest downfall for this years team and i can’t see Madi being pulled from the basket she is too good on boards. You will have taylor Ana to play 3 and gabby who can play a 3 or one of the two forward spots. I will not comment who i believes starts but the depth in the two spots which are weakest / thinnest now will be filled next year.

1- Tatum Shaina Jessi
2 - Shaina Ana Jessi Tatum
3- Ana Taylor Gabby Madi
SMall F - Madi Gabby Liz
PF - Liz Gabby Dee Mandy Clary
C- Bloom Aspen

These are just combos that i can see

About what I see.

Simpson was adequate for this game. She is who we all thought she is, a slow, rebounder who makes good passes. Lampkin looks completely lost and it almost seemed the guards didn't want to pass to her.

EJ, the poor girl is just what she is and we should all her commend her for trying and never giving up. She's just an emergency 5-10 replacement so the others can rest.

This team is going to have to grow up fast now with Anna out.

Really liked what I saw out of Tatum, Madi and Taylor.

Tatum
Shay
Ana
Madi
Liz

Has a good chance to start next year, still small but more on the athletic side then this year.

Go look at the stats from last year when Gabby played Madi and they guarded each other in high school in texas

I think Gregory is underrated. One of the comments on her game in ESPN hoopgurlz is she is one of the best perimeter players out of this class. just from what I've seen she kind of reminds me of Caton Hill and Whitney Hand. Lets hope either early impressions are true... However no one really knows until they transition to college!
