The good news is that TU couldn't stop us either. It didn't help that Je'lon was on the bench and our best post defender didn't see the court in the second half. I agree, though, this was not our best performance defensively.

Yeah, me too! His 25 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds has to be one of the best games ever by an OU freshman point guard. I sure can't think of a better performance.

They played a good amount of zone after made shots starting late in the first half. Slowed us down for a bit. But we finally started playing like an offense who wasn't seeing a zone defense for the first time in their lives.

We attacked. The Tulsa fans in the arena were complaining about the free throw disparity, but the bottom line is we were flying toward the basket on offense, and they were passing it around the perimeter.

I only saw bits and pieces of the game (and with the sound down at that), but it seemed to me that TU was driving to the basket relentlessly (and far too successfully).

I said "one of the best" 'cause I knew there had to be one I couldn't think of. TMG didn't even come to mind. Lavender didn't either.

Both were really good as freshman to be sure. But to be honest, I'd take Jordan over either of those players and not think twice about it. It's not likely he will create the problems we had to deal with when TMG was on our roster. Woodard pushes the ball up the floor and penetrates better than Lavender. To me, he's the perfect point guard for an up tempo offense.

But that was likely at the exclusion of his teammates. I never once felt like Jordan was being selfish in this game. TMG may have been more skilled than Jordan but I think Jordan might be a better pg.

Oh I'm not disagreeing at all, just noting that TMG was a better scorer. But that doesn't mean much on a team that only won a few more games than this team has already won.
