Lost some respect for BG Last night

Fact is, Blake is one of the chippiest/dirtiest players in the Association. It's no coincidence he constantly gets in scrapes like this.

But Ibaka punching him in the nuts is perfectly fine? Lets not act like he is a choir boy here

Have you seen the replay from above? It shows blake was moving his feet and spinning around. From above there is no push at all from Ibaka.

Its an old Dennis Rodman move. Rodman has admitted he would grab on to a players arm and start spinning causing the officals to call Technical fouls on the player that he was holding the arm of. Its cheap. But flopping is too IMHO, but everyone seems to do it too at times.

Blake was pushed aside by Ibaka as if he was a rag doll. Enough of the dramatics.

He has served evening teabags for enough opposing players to make enemies for life on the basketball court.

Gotta agree here. What Blake did was really minor. Guys get tangled up like that, but is shouldn't be cause for Ibaka to start a fight. It was Barnes and Ibaka who lost their cool.

As far as Thunder fans being the worst, I don't agree with that, but I will say that Basketball has never been this big in Oklahoma. There are a lot of Thunder fans out their whose passion is greater than their knowledge and experience with basketball. My hope is that given enough time the more ignorant/inexperienced Thunder fans will gain some perspective on the game.

Hold on now. I don't think blake did anything wrong but what did ibaka do? How did he lose his cool? He was freaking pushed by a pos

1. Blake is NOT a dirty player. that is silly.
2. the problem Blake has is he's so strong that other players resort to dirty tactics against him. he HAS to start fighting back or they will continue doing this to take him out. I watch every Clippers game and have since he started hitting the floor for them ... it's the play AGAINST him, not his play.

You've obviously been watching all of those games with your crimson colored glasses on.

It's both. I wouldn't say he is dirty but he can be very physical and does little things that piss people off and are cheap or puss moves

If that caused you to lose respect for Blake, then I hope you have none, or never will have any for Serge after he hit Blake in the Balls last year

I don't on the basketball court. That was cheap and should never happen. I still like watching Blake, but as Dean Blevins said on the radio, Blake seems to be involved in so many of these things that at some point you have to ask yourself why?

Blake has always initiated contact, he is really good at sneaking in shoves to a rebounder's back in order to gain position. The infamous dunks on Pau Gasol two years ago were both fouls on Blake that weren't called...he gets away with a lot. Ibaka is no prince either.

Wednesday night was nothing, eject Barnes because he is a clown and give dueling techs to Griffin and Ibaka. It always makes me laugh when two guys get tangled up on the court and for some reason one or both take huge exception to it. Funny to see all of these guys get so sensitive by a little contact.

Crazy how no foul was called on any 3 of those plays.

I agree with the fact that blake does things that piss players off. Like be over dramatic when getting fouled, or the fact that he used to be a big time flopper started making me not like Blake in the pros. Also the fact that he rarely stands up for himself when he gets cheap shotted.

Now saying that I haven't seen Blake flop in a while and he seems to stand up for himself a little bit more. I will always like BG and appreciate all the great things he did for OU. Still one of my favorite players in the NBA.

Wait a second... You mean to tell me that Blake Griffin participated in 3 plays that look nearly identical to plays that happen 30 times per game in an NBA game? Insane!

It's funny to me that any of the Sooner fans hating on Blake now for "flopping" or "chippiness" likely root for adult baby Russell Westbrook.

When did we get so weak? We have hero worshipped Quannas white for shoving Luke Walton so hard he got a contact high. And now we don't like Blake griffin for playing physical and using mid games against his opponents? You guys ever seen Michael Jordan play?

Lots of Thunder homers here.
(News flash: Ibaka plays dirty too - and that was a cute fist clench he did at the end of the scuffle)

Go Clips! Go BG!

Nonsense. That might have been true in college, but Blake Griffin is playing in the NBA. He isn't considerably "stronger" than most of the guys he goes up against.

You don't see Lebron playing that way.

BG is far from a Dirty player, Guess there is a Andre Miller fan on this message board! lol Go Clips!!

Sometimes, when people are too close to the situation, they don't see the absurd humor in the discussion. This thread presumes that there are people who don't foul, don't flop, and don't cheat in the NBA. Prior to Red Auerbach, that might have been true.

One of the first teams to win a pro title was the Harlem Globetrotters. When they flopped, it was a joke, intended to be funny. Their over-the-top dunks and fouls were showmanship meant to draw a laugh. Now, the NBA playacts its way through a season, and people take it seriously.

The only foul that concerns the NBA is something that shows someone up.

I do not feel Blake did anything to warrent a Tech or any foul, I was just dissapointed in the fact he tried to pull a Rodman. Everyone else seems to try to pull something, so why should Blake not. I just don't enjoy seeing players of a high ability as the NBA try to take advantage. But I guess others would call that good basketball
