Lunardi's uber-early season Bracketology....

I see he has Oklahoma State as a 11 seed. I was unable to find the Sooners.

I dont see OU or OSU in the NCAA tourney. OU is a mess and OSU loses Anderson/Obi. Those are two pretty big losses. I guess OSU could sneak in if they enlarge the feild to 96 or whatever. But at this point any type of postseason whatsover, be it NIT or CBI would be a miracle for OU the way things are going.

PG: Ray Penn/Fred Gulley
SG: Keiton Page/Markel Brown
SF: JP Olukemi/Brian Williams
PF: Matt Pilgrim/Marshall Moses
PF: Darrell Williams/Jarred Shaw

That is an NCAA Tournament team.... Olukemi will turn out to be the real deal and I think Williams will really help Pilgrim in the paint. He was the leading scorer and rebounder for a loaded juco team.

Are you pretty much a fan of every team that has JUCO players not named OU? You love Orlando Allen?

Orlando averaged 1 points and 2 rebounds per game in juco. No, I do not love Orlando.

Losing Tweety Carter will hurt, but Baylor has a chance to be really good again next year assuming Ekpe Udoh comes back to school. NBADraft.net projects him to be a mid first rounder. Baylor has all its other major contributors back, though.

If Gordon Hayward comes back to school, which I hope he does, Butler is going to be crazy good! The only seniors on their squad were Avery Jukes and Willie Veasley. Nored, Mack, and Howard will all be back. Add Hayward to that bunch and you have a team that will be in the top 5 all season.

Butler is a fun team to watch. I hope they are on TV a lot next season.

I think you're right... that has the potential to be an NCAA Tournament team.

The keys, IMO:

1. Penn being 100% healthy all season.
2. Pilgrim continuing to improve (mostly learning to avoid silly fouls)
3. Markel Brown emerging as the "next" James Anderson*

* People inside the program are VERY excited about Brown. He was just named Mr. Basketball in Louisiana after leading his team to an undefeated finish and class 4A champions there. They are most excited about the athleticism he brings to the 2-guard position... sort of in the mold of Tony Allen. There are some thoughts that if he's good as advertised, he will only be around for 2 years.

I think Olukemi will be a lot better than everyone thinks. He's had the advantage of being in the program for the past year. He doesn't have the outside game that Anderson had, but he is quite a scorer/slasher and plays good defense.
