Amanda Thompson anybody? Wow.

Robertson is exceeding all expectations. She could set all sorts of records.

This team has a lot of room to grow but there are many things to be excited about for the future.

She reminds me of Amanda, too.

I agree it should be a fun 4 years in Norman...

I wonder if Robertson will end up moving Ana to the bench.

I didn’t see this until after I posted in the Western Kentucky thread. That is exactly the comparison I made. Amanda and Leah Rush were two glue players who did so many things for their respective teams. She is the closest thing we have had to those type players in ten years. She can score, rebound and even passes it well. I’m excited to watch her grow.

Madi looked almost exactly like Amanda Thompson! Her build, the way she brings the ball up the court, her rebounding, etc. Very steady player!

I don't really think of Amanda, although Sherri does, based on the post-game press conference. I see her as a bit smaller, less of a bruiser, but more mobile, and has a better natural shot. I think she is already a better shot than Amanda eventually became.

Amanda was a PF type, probably would battle Baylor's current duo to a standstill on the boards and not be pushed around at all. But, she had to work to become a scorer, had to develop a shot.

I think Madi is a bit quicker, more mobile, and has a higher ceiling, although probably not under the boards. She'll never be a "power" forward. She will get her rebounds with athleticism and positioning. But, I never saw Amanda as someone who might score thirty every night. Madi may well be someone who could take off for forty.
