KU friend invited us to join them in Lawrence tomorrow night. It'll be my first time in Phog Allen. May not be the best year to go but considering OU hasn't won there since '93, I'm not sure there is a good year. Looking forward to checking this off of the bucket list and hoping for a good showing by the Sooners.

My daughter went with friends to a game there several years ago - not an OU game though. She enjoyed it.

One of the greatest venues to watch any sporting event. You will indeed enjoy the experience. Hopefully, you also enjoy and OU win. But I'm not holding my breath. :-)

Enjoy the experience. I doubt we'll win but I have no doubt that our effort will be outstanding. It should be a great experience for you even if we don't win.

It's an awesome atmosphere and a bucket list item no matter how much you dislike them. The old school Fieldhouse feel of the building is really cool and they pack that 16k right on top of the court. I've been dreading watching the road games this year, but I'm excited to see how the team handles this environment.

I will be fine with whatever the outcome and I also feel that we will give great effort. Could not pass up the opportunity to go. I actually think that we will be sitting lower level near mid-court. My wife works for a KC company owned by a KU donor. He bought us mid-court seats on about the 4th row for the OU-WVU game in the Big 12 last spring. Buddy's half court shot was directly in front of us.

Went to OU/ku when we had Bookout, Taj...we were up by 12 at half. I got plenty of boos as I walked by the student section...lol. Of course I wore my OU stuff...couple of old ladies were going off. Course ended up losing.

BUT yes, as much as I HATE ku...growing up in ks...it is a awesome place. The history is pretty cool. They have a little area. You can actually stand right where the players come out and in for half time etc. Ya might be able to hang around and get pics with team after if ya wait. Daughter and I did for the girls when the Paris twins played.

I'm sure our guys will give the "effort" just not sure it'll be good enough. Play like we did Sat. it'll be nice...but ku is NOT ksu...:facepalm

Been to many games there. Nice atmosphere but a little too cult-like for my tastes. Not really a raucous crowd typically but the arena makes it pretty loud anyway.

AFH is awesome. You can feel the history. The TRUE experience, though, comes on a Saturday afternoon when the sun comes through the windows on the south side. I hate those chickenhawks like no other, but that is a great place to watch a basketball game.

I'm 0-3 against those bastards up there. Maybe someday.

Would like a win but will be very happy with a single digit loss and max effort. Play the hawks like that, beat TCU at home, again to start the B12 tournament then take down ISU in the second round before losing in the semi's. I will consider finishing 4-2 as outstanding and a strong foundation for 2018. And for certain it is doable. Not probable but doable.

Went last year for the first time and was heart broken. Not sure when I'll get the courage to go back.

Fun atmosphere. Went last year for the 3OT Thriller. Didn't sit down from about 5 minutes left in regulation until it was actually over. I got chills during the intro video.

I will be up there tonight as well. I live in and am from the area (been a HUGE OU fan my entire lift thanks to the style of Billy Tubbs) and have been many times through out the years and was actually there the last time they won. Last year's game broke me down a little given it was on paper our best chance to win for some time. You always have a chance to win but it's very seldom that you are almost even on the odds to win in AFH. The atmosphere is amazing and as others have said the history is 2nd to none. A lot of my friends are KU fans and we usually don't talk during the week/day of the game ;)

So the question is, do those of us in attendance storm the court if OU pulls off the miracle? I'm joking, of course, but a court-storming by visiting fans would be one of the funniest moments ever. I've seen us lose so many heartbreakers there in the years since Terry Evans led us to the win in 1993. That's why last year's loss was such a gut punch.

LOL. So the true history of the chickenhawks is finally revealed.

Last year's OU/KU was my first year to go, and I think it will be the last time I go. Not because of anything bad there (it was awesome) but because I saw 1 vs. 2 in AFH and it went to triple overtime. I don't think it will ever get better than that. By the time it was over, I didn't even care that we had lost. It was one of the best basketball games I had ever witnessed.
