Aziz would be playing a much bigger role at OU, and would give OU the rebounding and defensive presence we need. Plus he would get more chances to score at OU than he will at Washington. Against UK so far he has 10 rebounds, 5 points, and probably 3-5 blocks.

Poland is averaging 11 and 2 for USF early in the season, also shooting 44% from the 3pt line. Not staggering numbers or anything, but great for a first year guy in his first 5 games.

They arent stars, but they provide that instant impact that people expect from good junior college players.

As often as Poland was in Norman (with Goff), I can't believe he went to freakin South Florida. I mean, the guy was at a ton of games.

DM, do you know if they offered or did they cool on him? Did they run out of scholarships or something? You seemed to know a lot about Poland.

From what I heard, those two and Carter were all being recruited by Coach O and they cooled on us when he "resigned"

Carter and Poland also experienced negative recruiting. Supposedly, they were scared off by other coaches telling them that OU was going to get the hammer by the NCAA.

They were Carter told that. Poland told me that OU was too hot right now. And to be honest, I would have used the same tactic in recruiting a kid. Fact is Carter and Poland wouldn't have made a difference. Aziz would have. Biggest mistake was Olukemi. They really needed to convince that kid that he could have played with Cam. Second biggest mistake was Amrick Fields. Third mistake was spending so much time on Barnes and two coaches kids. Fourth Mistake was Ricky Scott. You really can't have misses on kids that didn't want to be Sooners. If that was the case we should say man we missed on Jones and Lamb because OU led on them at one time.
