If nothing else, at least this means we won't have to watch a segment every single game comparing him and Bird. I love OU and even I wanted to throw something at my TV every time they came on, so I can only imagine how opposing fans felt. The funny part was that each time they did it, the announcers acted as if they were the first ones to think of it.

Agreed. I think the hoopla surrounding the ridiculous suggestion that Manek was anything like Larry Bird might have added to the pressure to play or score like one of the greatest players ever. Maybe this will put a stop to this nonsense and give Brady a normal life again. That can’t be a bad thing for the pressure to perform he almost certainly felt before.

I don't understand this take. Calixte turned the ball over a ton and we'd been getting off to awful starts for about three weeks before the change, mainly due to careless early turnovers. The offense was far better the first three games after the change, though it clearly struggled Monday. Lon made the change because JB is a far better point guard than Calixte right now, not because he is thinking about the future. Calixte is better off the ball. I don't know how anyone can think that the offense runs better with Calixte starting. JB needs the ball in his hands as much as possible.

I like Miles, but I think his role classically should be off the bench for energy. He's best on the edge pressuring the ball and being aggressive taking it to the hole. Bursts. Not a long period because it loses its' effectiveness.
