Manyang in the middle helped a lot. During the stretch Lattin was out in the second half, Manyang was the rim protector and played good defense on their big. I don't see why people said he had slow feet, he was pretty athletic to me and played good defense. He was the second big when Lattin went out earlier in the year when we were really good. Don't understand why Kruger stopped using him. We would have won the Big12. Oh well, sometimes I don't understand Kruger substitution pattern, it cost him a few games.

credit coach for realizing quickly that Lattin was a much better fit against their big man. Not sure if it's just me also but Manyang looks bigger then he did early on this year.

He put in some quality time. Unfortunate he missed some close looks, but he had a couple of nice blocks and an important rebound where he just threw their big to the floor like a paper wrapper when initially it looked like a tie ball whistle was impending. It was refreshing to see.

Manyang's footwork is fine. He's also a good athlete for a guy his size. He just doesn't react instinctively to making the right play, mainly due to his inexperience. Posters who said he was raw offensively knew what they were talking about.

The potential is there, though. If he dedicates himself to getting better in the off season, he could really help us next year.

This is laughable. Manyang is way behind Lattin offensively & defensively. To say that Kruger not playing him cost is the big12 is just wrong. He helped us today but Lattin was still much better than him, and Lattin didn't play all that well.

He's not dead yet for you would have to be just that.

We could use him against vcu. They're not tall. We should dominate the boards and get easy buckets

Who said he played ahead of Lattin??? I said that he should be the second big when Lattin is out. Not Buford nor McNeace, when he is in there he is a rim protector. Buford is too small to protect the rim, McNeace looked lost. We are pretty small when Buford and Spangler out there.

You haven't seen Manyang play a lot have you? Buford's been far better.

I watched all of the OU games. Buford is not a lot better. Go back and watch all the OU games, when Buford and Spangler were out there, guards started to drive to the basket cause we have no shot blocker. There was a game, Buford was out there for more than 20 mintues and he got no rebound.

Yes, Manyang contributed today, but to say we would have won the Big 12 if he played more is absolutely laughable.

Go back and look at the Iowa State vs Oklahoma in Big 12 tournament,

Buford played 17 minutes, only 1 defensive rebound, 0 of 5 from the field. Manyang played 2 minutes, 1 defense rebound and 1-1 from the filed.

If we need Buford out there to defend and rebound, it is not cutting it.

neither Manyang or Lattin are great but if I had to pick one..it would be Lattin on my team.

I'm excited about some of the things he has shown, but I am not sure Manyang gets easy buckets against anyone right now.

Unfortunately Buford can do neither. But did provide some offense.

Buford, bless his heart, doesn't play a lick of defense and can't rebound to save his life.

I think he's a worse rebounder than was Andrew Fitzgerald and that's saying something.

Very difficult for teams to score inside when Manyang is out there. I can't understand why this is difficult for some to see. Yes, I do believe that not playing him more cost us some games.
