Mark Cuban: D-League better than NCAA

Some of what he says is true, and some is him just serving an agenda. I love this one --> "I think what will end up happening -- and this is my opinion, not that of the league -- is if the colleges don't change from the one-and-done, we'll go after the one," Cuban said.

Uhh, Mark, the NCAA didn't set the "one-and-done" rule; the NBA did. I can't stand the rule, either, but the NBA kind of handcuffed the NCAA on that one.

With the limitations on coaching and development placed on athletes by the NCAA, the D-League is an interesting option.

From a development perspective, college ball offers an arena to mature as a person where the D-League doesn't allow. Take that and the status quo of college being the "next step", and that is the only two things college has going for it. If someone can monetize the d-league for players to an extent where the advantage would outweigh going to college, players would definitely switch their perspective.

Most elite prospects don't care a whole lot about NCAA championships, they want to get paid playing pro ball.

I like Cuban, for the most part, but he has some pretty far out there ideas at times.
