The program needs lots of things, a new arena, more NIL, etc. But I agree that it starts with a new coach. Moser is out of his depth here.

This is a great point. Let’s look at the two programs.

OU: complete apathy and very little investment into the program. Some of the lowest NIL in the country and little admin support. Donors that simply don’t care about basketball.

Baylor: lots of money and willing to invest in the program. The reason Baylor went from loser to winner is simple. They appointed strong leadership across the AD with a vision of winning and investment. The donors invest the money and they get the coaches and the players they want.

Can OU become a great basketball program? Yes.
Could OU win a national title in basketball? Yes.
Will any of this happen? NO. HELL NO.

WHY? Investment in the program. OU is simply not invested in basketball. It’s been that way for a long time but with the changing environment and NIL plus free transfers, it has killed programs like OU. We can no longer get by with the neglect from the donors and admin. Either they step up or this program is dead. It’s that simple.

Hopefully OU is extending resources for the kid as an offer (daycare, power wheels, relocate mom, etc)

I honestly don't get the Kobe Elvis love from the OU coaches. According to Lusk they like the way he shoots it. His shooting stats do not look impressive to me.

Can you do me a favor and do your stats comparison for these guys? Tre Donaldson, Devon Barnes, Kobe Elvis, and two guys I think would be good bench PG scorers in Jason Edwards from North Texas and Issac McBride from Oral Robers.

37% from 3 on good volume. Those are good numbers if he's guarded like a shooter. If he's shooting 4 a game, I doubt these are open shots. Looking at the numbers, he doesn't seem like a starter for us, but could be a key bench player if he's a solid defender.

I gave up football message boards...too much of a time suck.
If I were to pick it up again, I'd probably go over to the sooners360 gang (if it is still around).
With the scoop content being on podcast and youtube, there isn't much of a point to pay anymore unless you just like the banter
 
Looking like Jordan Pope to Texas...Trilly is close to calling it
