MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

No, we were doing great with Buddy then fell off a cliff and barely scraped into the tourney (and had a losing season). If Mosers teams had one more win and one less bid stealer he would have the same success Lon had over his last few years.
If I was 4 inches taller, I’d be 4 inches taller. But I’m not. And Moser didn’t.

Conversely if we had a different coach we'd have a different coach......we are stuck with the one we have for another year. Posting about it 10 times a day won't change it. (Not saying you are the only one).

I honestly haven’t said much recently about wishing we would hire someone else. The chance to do that was immediately following March 17!! We are definitely stuck with him but I sure hope that isn’t the case after next Selection Sunday.

And the only way around this is making the athletes employees. It is just going to be club teams and the requirement for attending the university will fall after that. I don't think there is anyway to fix this unfortunately
Or limit transfers to 1 + a grad transfer

They were going well under Lon. Make the right call, they’ll be back soon.
That final four run was 8 years ago. After that, it was managed decline. That was before NIL and free transfers. The game has changed. Everything has changed. Without competitive NIL, we won’t get good players and we won’t get good coaches. So, unless something changes with NIL, the program will be dead and the longer that goes on, the harder it will be to get back to winning.
