I will also say....

We might have overestimated the NIL increase. Nothing that's happening right now screams, "OU has MORE money".

I hope to hell I'm wrong but it feels like dumpster diving, a bit...not calling the kids themselves garbage. Or shopping from the sale rack.

I think others increased their budget which nullifies our increase.

Yep, that's part of it for sure.

Coaching season got a lot of coaches additional benefits. Drew, Calipari, Pope, pretty much anyone who was hired or had their names floated out there. The price of doing business has risen substantially, it seems.
