MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

I need to dive deeper but these seem to be the main competitors for these kids, assuming OU brings them on visits, etc:

Jadon Jones - Butler
Kobe Elvis - College of Charleston
Aaron Scott - Memphis & St. John's
Devon Barnes - no idea, he followed High Point basketball on IG. I'll look harder.
Tre Donaldson - Michigan & Alabama

Devon Barnes is a little bitty guard that played high school basketball at Lawton a few years back. He ain’t good enough.

I don’t know, the longer things are bad, the tougher it is to get back on track. There are plenty of programs that were good once upon a time that have faded into irrelevancy. Since we don’t have a passionate fan base, if we go another two or three years without playing in the tournament, it would be very difficult to turn it around unless you strike gold with a fantastic coach.

We need NIL changes or the NIL system to change. Program has no support right now. Coaching change won't change anything for the better because it'll likely be cheaper at this point.

No, we were doing great with Buddy then fell off a cliff and barely scraped into the tourney (and had a losing season). If Mosers teams had one more win and one less bid stealer he would have the same success Lon had over his last few years.

Money is the key to everything. Everyone wants a new arena, need money for that. Everyone wants Porter gone, need money for that. Just kind of in a tough situation right now. He made a bad hire, I’m sure he knows that.
