MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

+/- (for the season) on a guy that played so much in garbage time is worthless.

You'd probably have to limit it for Northweather on the games he played substantial minutes in.

I also don't need +/- stats to know he wasn't very good this year.

Hear me out:
Pedulla, Elvis, Aaron Scott, Moore, Garrison

Forscyth, Cooper, Jadon Jones, Atok, Godwin

Let’s cook.
I reserve the right to change my opinion after digging in more, but that isn't a roster that saves Moser's job, I don't think.

Scott needs to be a 4 in the SEC, not a 3.
Would Jones be okay coming off the bench?
Putting A LOT of faith in Forsythe and Cooper.
Elvis needs to come off the bench in kind of a Darthard role.

I know, I know, WT being negative again. I just don't love it. Some of you are going to be okay with whatever roster we have as long as we have Pedulla, Garrison, and keep Moore. I just don't fall in that bucket.

He said substantial minutes. During those beatdowns vs not so great quality opponents Northweather averaged about 15 mpg especially in November.

It's not revisionist. The Baylor game in the first half during Baylors insane run on defense and offense he was the main reason Baylor went on an 8-0 run. He was lost on defense and got trapped in the corner not once but twice for bad TO's or a bad shot.

The Kansas game. He was absolutely deplorable again in the first half. He had two TO's to himself to help Kansas get on a roll.

Why in the plue perfect Hell do people continue to make excuses for him? He was absolutely deplorable. If his shots not going down (the majority of the time it wasn't) he's utterly useless besides being tall.
We are very much getting away from portal talk...

Can absolutely move this to another thread. But I think we just have different opinions on what awful is. It is fair, bc it is subjective.

Not sure where I was making excuses. I think he is still very raw and showed some signs of life being thrown into a bad situation.

Everyone says this about players that are usually useless after two years on campus, and they usually still aren't very good by the end of their careers.

Nonetheless. You're right. I'll stop typing about him. He's not worth the words at this point.

Having an extra 300-400K to take care of the kid is probably a bigger deal. When the money gets that big it will be extremely tough for him to turn down.
IDK. I know the mind and perspective of an adult looks at things differently than a college kid, but if I had a job that offered me 30-40% more money, but required me to be away from my one-year-old child and mom 2/3 of the time I would have no problem turning it down.

Or?

Pedulla, Donaldson, Scott, Moore, Garrison
Elvis, Forsythe, Cooper, Atak, Godwin

Luke, Yaya...and Lovelace? Jadon Jones would be nice. Maybe Hill if Pedulla slides in his DMs.

Still think the base is the same, those bolds are musts

Tourney team? Hmmm, maybe?

He's absolutely horrible. I remember in back to back games when he received PT the opponents we played went on big runs while he was in the game. He was a borderline automatic turnover. Dude is awful.
He isn't nearly as bad as you are making him out to be. The potential is there. He has great size and is a freshman put into a role he wasn't ready for.

Does anybody have access to what Lusk said about the five portal targets?
Garrison just the same stuff Coach said last night.

Pedulla values winning but wants to team with Garrison if we pull him.

Elvis here this weekend, hopefully reel him in.

Scott they want as the 3 and hope to land him.

Jones they want as 6th man in a Dart role and he’s in the process of scheduling a visit.

He also has another update on Garrison acknowledging the Arky interest but that he’s got guys ahead of him and that Ou thinks Garrison is nearing a decision.

He has been on campus for two years. Had a full year to get "ready."
Let’s also remember the plan is he is a 3rd center and supposed to be a change of pace from Godwin and hugley( this past season). That should be his role. Most are ok with him in that role, especially if we get another center. In conference he didn’t play meaningful minutes unless foul trouble or till injuries.

For that amount of money you could move them anywhere. We also have Zoom and Facetime. It really wouldn't be smart to turn down that much money.

I’ll also add that Thune said Pedulla and Moser’s meeting didn’t go well at all. He’s never come back and gave any details on what that meant though.
