MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

We get the dude from HP and the guy from Seton Hall I'm feeling damn decent that's for sure. Even if our Center is a Freshmen 3 star. As long as we can lob it to him, and he plays defense with a long wingspan (no gayness). I'll be fine.
Meh… I don’t know about feeling decent…I’ll just wait and see.

I argue the speed and the proliferation of information on social media necessitates the use of AI to some degree if you are going to be competitive, as the first story is often the most read story.

Very true, I had responsibility over news and video publishing systems for a major media outlet .. and priority one was speed of “publish” to appearance on all media sites.

Makes me think I should look into building a local newspaper / media platform that uses AI journalists exclusively. I might be able to pull that off lol.

Lol how much? 100k total?
Their alumni are huge, and their people support their University. Their campus has improved in appearance and features since I was young. Many of the inner-city kids are considering the HBCUs and the cultural experience they bring. Of course, they won't compete for most D-1 athletes, but they will snag a few that will surprise, those seeking more than just the money.

Langston has an NIL collective……
For whatever reason this got me interested so I did a deeper dive. I found Langston's Collective is managed by an agency called Opendorse. On their website they have a button you can click to interact with the Langston Collective. It has every one of its male and female athletes on the page, and you can quickly donate as little as $5 to go directly to the athlete you want to receive it. It says you can purchase personalized videos, social media posts directed towards you, and all kinds of other things for various prices. It lists some of its financial partners as TFCU, Golden Chick, Valero, & F&M Bank.

It also has its most famous alumni, some I knew about, but a few I didn't including Ocho Cinco, & Jennifer Hudson. It doesn't give any dollar figures.

Yep, talk about ignorance on his part.

FWIW, and I know nothing is being aimed at me, I wasn't saying anything negative about Langston. And certainly nothing bad about HBCUs. Great institutions. Culturally, spiritually, academically, etc.

I guess my point was specifically about the kid and the level of basketball (NAIA). While Langston is damn good program right now, I would guess he had some D1 playing options. Maybe not but that would be odd based on his profile and the fact that a lot of mid/small majors are desperate for good players.

And even though I figure LU has some kind of NIL, I doubt it stacks up that well vs the middle-pack D1s. Or maybe they're doing better than I think. Eh, it wasn't a big deal. A kid who was productive at IUPUI (now just IUI) dropped down to the NAIA...doesn't happen that often. Non-productive ones, sure.

Good for Coach Wright and good for the kid. I hope it works out and it should, obviously.

You know who else would make sense for an HBCU? Dior Johnson. Put that kid at NCCU or Norfolk St or Texas Southern (and etc)...it would do him a lot of good, potentially.

This sounds like a far far better user interface than C&C Collective which doesn’t even let me pick specific sports to support (can only select a single or all of them to my knowledge).
