Missouri according to Fox

It's mizzourah... so 2 things are sadly true... they will think they can get ANYONE, and they will let EVERYONE know all about it.

It's a done deal. Shaka is leaving VCU prior to the final 4 to start recruiting for MU as well as taking a pay cut.

That's how good the Mizzouri job is.

I'll give Mizzou credit. At least they are on the offensive for a proven hire.

Please let this be true. The guy can't coach defense at all and his offense is hoping to make a bunch of three pointers.

I think Shaka will do very well there if he leaves VCU...I'm not convinced he will leave VCU though...I'm sure VCU won't just let him walk away easily...

isn't he coaching anthony grant's players....or does that just work w/ other coaches

Painter came to Mizzou first, and the sources were almost entirely coming from his side of negotiations.

Of course he did. That's how these guys that don't want to leave get paid.

lol

since when is shaka a proven hire

Exactly. This is a perfect Mizzou hire. A guy who looks great because 5 game run by his team and now is the best young coach in America according to some. He didn't even recruit most of his team nor did he win his weak conference. His team is hot and that is it. He goes to Mizzou and they will continue to swim in mediocrity while getting owned by KU. I'm sure Jayhawk fans would love to see Shaka as the hire.
