Worst defeat since a 111-66 against UCLA in 1975.

Back to life, back to reality.

Re: Missouri loss was worst in last 37 years

It was like we were playing an NBA team

When you are rebuilding a program, the first step is to start winning the games you should win. Missouri is an excellent -maybe even great - team this year. It will be 2 or 3 years at least before we can challenge teams as good as Missouri is this year.

Ouch.

I'm totally on board with Kruger, but that is just pathetic and he must take some blame. The team was not ready to play, and quit at halftime.

This. And Mizz is an excellent team that was ON FIRE tonight. They would've beaten any team in the nation tonight.

So I guess you think another coach could take this bunch of slow footed, short, not very talented bunch of guys who are not very good shooters and make them play better? I don't think so.

But but but wait I thought this was an NCAA tournament team just a couple of games ago? Now they stink?

Can't it be both? Can't we have an outside shot at making the Dance, and still be over matched against a team like Mizzou?

Nobody ever called this team a lock to make the Dance. I have been vocal saying that is this team's upside.....sneaking in to the Dance. And that was before Newell left.

I still think, and have always thought, that a trip to the dance would be a miracle season. The Big 12 is really good this year, and we are still mostly devoid of talent, especially talent that can play basketball.

Actually, I think the Big 12 is down more than most people think. What team in the conference is as good as KU usually is? As good as UT has been in some recent seasons? As good as OU in some seasons?

I don't think we have a team like that. Mizzou and Baylor are pretty good. KU may be pretty good. Other than that, I don't see a team we can't beat. We are better than TT. ISU. OSU. And maybe aTm. Winning 6 of those 8 means we only have to find three more wins to finish .500 in the league.

Oklahoma is not a bad basketball team. Last season they were a bad team. This season they beat bad basketball teams. And beat some of them something awfull.

They are well coached. They practice and play hard. But, they are not a good basketball team. I think that is the best Kruger can do right now.

Being both slow on the peremiter and short in the paint will impose a ceiling on any team.

Didn't we get blown out by 30 a few times in Blake's freshman year, which was an NCAA tourney team?

Did Tony say that? All he said is Kruger has to take some responsibility for such a pour performance. I agree with Tony. I am 100% behind Kruger but that loss was unacceptable and Kruger should take some responsibility for it.

You fail at logic.

This may be our worst loss in 37 years pointwise, but I remember going to Ames in 2001 for our conference opener and getting run out of the gym 100-80. That was much more shocking to me than last night because of the talent we had on that team. We went 26-7 that year and won the conference tournament. This team is nowhere near the team that one was. And that was a Sampson coached team.

Is there anything to indicate that he isn't taking some responsibility for the poor performance?
