I was lucky enough to see the 04-05 Kansas game that OU pulled out. Place was rocking. Godbold played a great game. What game do you guys remember as the best you've ever seen in person?

OU vs Maryland in 2002 was an awesome game.

This is my game too.

Very underrated game in terms of what that game did for our rep, that team, and really our program. It was also Jabahri Brown's coming out party. Was there with my dad. Awesome game and atmosphere.

Plenty (too many to narrow it down to just 1):

89 Mizzou game (:billy :No matter how bad the officiating is...)
84 All-College, :oldwt356: scored 61 points vs UTSA
82 NIT vs Cal-Irvine in LNC; packed house and big comeback.
89 Arizona: we ascended to #1 with that win.
2000: Iowa State: double OT win over the cyclones with Fizer and the guard who was so good. great game.
89 UNLV: runnin rebs had grandmama, Augmon, Anderson Hunt, Greg Anthony, etc.; they won the NC that season
90 Mizzou: were ranked #1 at the time; we won by 17. incredible atmosphere
90 KU: also ranked #1; just 3 days after the game vs Mizzou. 22 point win; incredible atmosphere.

Lucky enough to be there in a great era.
Saw UNLV, the mizzou game Billy took the mic, ga tech and the hi scoring Loyola Marymount game. Too many to pick 1.

Just a FWIW; that's the classic game being shown this Friday (or in my case, very early Saturday morning).

Also, that '90 KU game is next week's offering.

Would anyone happen to know of any video of this game? I was at a 6th grade dance that night, and when my parents picked me up I remember rushing to the car to turn the radio on to hear the score. Have always been looking for highlights of that game. :ez-laugh:

I was in Orlando on my honeymoon. Great game!

My favorite was probably the semi final and championship games in KC in '02. That was fun.

UNLV with the Shark and his son
Mizzo and the mic
Waymon's last home game with the crowd chanting one more year.
Eddie Evans, Don Sidle, Gar Heard, the great Alvin Adams

That's more than one isn't it...

Games that I've attended that stick out

Texas tech in Norman when Hollis drove the length and hit the game winner

Tony crockers 4 pt play game against Baylor

Beating OSU at GIA in Eddies last game

Kansas: 1995
Yannish had some key rebounds and was the key player in that game. We wouldn't have won without his play that day. The crowd chanted his name as Kelvin wanted him to speak to the crowd but he was in the locker room crying because that's the moment he had been waiting for. At the time we didn't know why he didn't speak on the microphone but I worked with Nancy Minor and she told me a few days later.

I was at that game and I almost listed it because it was incredible. KU had Jacque Vaughn and as the crowd was chanting "overrated" some fans around me were chanting "Jacque Vaughn is..." between the overrated chant.

The 94 KU game was fantastic too with Abercrombie last shot and we should have won in 96 but Erdmann missed a bunny as time was running out.

1. OU-UNLV in 1987, played on a day when the weather was worse than it's been lately. It was 89-88, and it was the first game OU had ever won against a No. 1-ranked team. It remains the best game I've ever seen in person, anywhere. Choo Kennedy scored with 12 seconds left, and OU had to sweat out a missed gimme from inside the foul line and then a missed tip-slam at the horn.

2. OU-Mizzou, 1977, first-ever LNC sellout. OU won that one, 66-63, and the students rocked the entire west side of the LNC starting well over an hour before the tip. OU also led for only about 35 seconds in the entire game. Al Beal had the eventual game-winner.

3. OU-Arkansas, 2001 season. OU made up an eight-point deficit in under two minutes, just to get to OT, and then won it going away. That was as loud as I've ever heard the LNC in a pre-Christmas game.

4. OU-Texas, this year. Great atmosphere and a very entertaining game. It almost reminded me of a win over UT in their second appearance at the LNC in '79, or at least it was about the same margin.

5. OU-UNM at the Pit, December of '88. Got 'em by a 100-96 count, after routing them in Norman the previous season. It was sort of Stacey King's "let 'em see what they missed" game in Albuquerque (UNM finished second in his recruitment, as I recall), and Tyrone Jones stuck a deep three out of the corner for the eventual game-winner.

6. OU-KSU, 1979. The win gave OU the outright Big 8 title for the first-time ever. Students had pretty much their first-ever "court rush" when it was done.

7. Speaking of OU-KSU, in 1980, I went up with a couple of buddies to Manhattan to see the disrespected defending league champs beat the Purple Gang again, 70-60. Some lippy KSU prof tried to tell us that K-State had dominated the league in basketball more than OU had dominated Big 8 football (????). I think he slipped out of Ahearn quietly before we could gloat.

The Yanish game was 96. Abercrombie was 95, and the Erdmann bunny was 97.

1993 vs Duke at Cameron Indoor. I was going to college in North Carolina at the time. We took them to OT b/c of a great second half comeback, but came up just short in OT. Very fun game even though we lost.

OU vs Davidson 2008. Curry (favorite current player) had 44 and Blake (2nd favorite) had around 26 and 14.

Those games in 1989 were awesome and I was at all of them. The most important thing about 89 is that the LNC was consider one of the toughest venues in America. I say that (and have many times) because you guys can do it again. The students did that. We were crazy. Those are some of my best memories from OU, far better than attending football games. All it takes is the students.

I think you guys today could put us to shame. With technology and social media you could be very creative.
