Most memorable game you've been to?

In the spirit of the post, I'll leave out the losses.

KC Big 12 Quarter in 2000 vs. MU...Nolan Johnson
Elite 8 vs. Cuse....rocked them.
B12 Final v. MU in Dallas...Thugball at its best.
MU/KU #1 games...very loud at the LNC.
Cal-Irvine NIT...glad others remember this. What a great ballgame that was.

Still the OU-Georgia Tech game many years ago. 13,000+ - Wayman and the gang - they had Mark Price/and Many NBA guys. Loudest I have or probably ever will hear the Lloyd Noble. Ears were ringing the day after. OU was down like 15 in the second half and then there we came. Many good UNLV games too but NOTHING comes close in this old guys eyes. It was amazing!!!

This was a fabulous game. When Anthony Bowie had the follow dunk from the left wing it was deafening. Loudest I ever heard it in there. I saw all the games mentioned from 82 to present.

Georgia Tech starting lineup:

Mark Price- NBA HOF
Bruce Dalrymple- played in the league
Duane Ferrell- first round pick and played for at least 10 years in the league
John Salley- multiple championships with the Pistons
Yvon Joseph- 6'11" center who looked like he was 30 and was tough.

I wish I were at the the Big 12 Tourney Championship Game in 2002, when we beat KU. One of the best defensive performances I've ever seen a team put on.

I was there. Bunch of mouthy KU fans talking trash after we had just beaten them. Said we wouldn't go far in the NCAA tournament and we ended being the first Big 12 team to get to the Final Four.

Should have won it all that year. That season is to me, what '88 is to a lot of you. :(

I'd probably have to say the G Tech game. It was a great game all around.

I also would put the semi final and final game in 1988. Talk about going from high to low.

And I forget the year but we drove down to Norman for the KU game in 70 degree weather and drove home in an ice storm - 2003? It was the "Harry Potter" game.

OU vs Maryland in 2002 was an awesome game.

That's what made us losing in the FF so maddening. We'd crushed them once already.

Hard to compare the 2 really. In 88 we had 3 first round picks in the starting 5. In 02 we didn't have anybody play a game in the nba.

88 was a much larger lost opportunity imo.

Alvan Adams first game. Isn't that record for rebounds still intact?

I took my cousin to the only OU basketball game that he attended.

I checked. Alvan still holds the OU record for rebounds in a single game at 28, a record that he set in his first game.

AB came out of the rafters to jam that one. And Wayman had that break away reverse to seal it. It was so hot in the gym that day. I practically ruined my shirt.

No one, not even most KU fans, thought they had a chance. When they ran with us and scored 50 in the first half I knew we were in trouble. They played out of their minds and Manning was on another planet. We were all stunned. I'd say that game, the ND loss in the 50's and the 2001 OSU loss at home - both football - are the worst losses OU has had.

We would have beat Maryland had we gotten to the finals. We were in big trouble when we lost Q. It messed up our offense but really hurt our defense. I was disappointed but it wasn't a gut punch.

One that I'll bet was a blast was that one-point win over OSU when Terrell Everett made those two foul shots with a second left, not long after Kevin Bookout managed to do a couple of bunny-hops before he threw one down, without taking a dribble.

I also saw the very first OU win at the LNC, in January of 1976. It wasn't an epic game, a 57-42 rout of OSU, but it was fun for a high school senior who'd never been to a live college basketball game before that night.

i was at the 2002 Maryland game. was pretty big they were the eventual national champs and we beat em down. my dad blew off his wife to pick me up at the airport, take me for a burger at the Service Station....beat down the Terps....and a little ESPN highlight watching at the Library over a beer or two. good times.

i went to a lot of the Tubbs' era greatest, none really stand out more than others. i drove from Colorado to see OU and Skeeter put a beat down on Norm and Doug Smith in 90 with a friend from LA. that was pretty cool. the completion of beating #1's weekend, or whatever it was.

the one game i do remember more than others: Ohio Northern.

the Polar Bears.

i was there.

I know two of the people that were at that game with me and now I know one of the other 17 that attended that night.

Agreed.

The '02 was very good, but the '88 team is the finest team OU has ever had. They would have wiped the floor with the '02 team.

I have seen so many great games since I started attending regularly in 1980 but some of my favorites are the back to back defeats of #1 Missouri and #1 Kansas.

Got to fly back with the team and Barry Switzer after the 1990 Big 8 tournament. Got my picture made with the championship trophy.

The only Big 8/12 tournament OU has won since 1984 that I didn't get to attend was 2001 when I didn't get to go because my nephew got married.

The All Conference Tournament in 1985 against Karl Malone and La Tech and then seeing them again in Dallas a few months later.

The 1988 Final Four. Of all the defeats that OU has suffered in any sport that championship game is only one, that to this day, still just makes me sick. I have never watched that game on ESPN Classic or the old VHS tape I have because it is too painful.

Went to the OSU game in Stillwater 1999 and saw a victory when GIA was still a band box.

The "No matter how bad the officiating is" game.

I have seen OU win in Manhattan, Waco, Lubbock, Stillwater and College Station. Seen us lose in Austin, and Lawrence twice.

And tomorrow, I hope, will be another great OU basketball memory.

Haven't seen this one: the loudest I ever heard LNC was after Taj Gray's dunk to go up 19-2 on OSU in 2005.

I wasn't at that game, just watched on TV and it was loud. However, in the 88/89/90 seasons the LNC would be that loud an entire defensive possession and more than once. It was ridiculous how loud that place would get and when the Hawk did his cabbage patch after a fast break dunk or Skeeter Henry shot his 6 shooter after a big dunk the roof would lift off the arena. Just unbelievable noise levels. It's really hard to describe for some of you younger guys.

After Tubbs made his comment on the PA during that Mizzou game, the LNC was that loud pretty much the rest of the game as we made our comeback. I used to walk out of the LNC with my ears were ringing just like after a loud concert.
