@ESPNStatsInfo: Syracuse now has 6 losses to seeds 11 or lower, tied with UCLA and Oklahoma for the most in NCAA Tournament history.

Ku has to be up there if you drop it to strictly double digit seeds.

Bradley, bucknell, Stanford, vcu, Wichita state, anymore?

Edit: Wichita state was a 6-seed.

Boeheim is not a good coach. That program is structurally set up to dominate, being the preeminent basketball powerhouse in the Northeast, a place with an insane amount of basketball talent. He has exactly one title, and a metric ton of terrible early round losses. Rick Barnes is up there on the bad coach list as well.

I agree that Barnes, Drew, Boeheim etc. are not great coaches. per se.

But getting better players than other teams is a HUGE part of winning.

LK is a terrific coach (who totally recruits by the rules) but he seldom has talent advantages over the top schools, hence is average record in the NCAA Tournament.

OU's losing to so many lower seeds was a little surprising, because it has happened to OU a lot but I would have thought some other teams would be worse.

Boeheim is a good coach. That is silly. Where do you people come up with this stuff?
