Much has changed since OU beat Villanova in Hawaii | The Oklahoman

Villanova probably won't appreciate but we're better, also, than we were in Hawaii. McNease and Buford are understanding their roles better. Lattin and Spangler seem now to be both injury free. Christian James has developed and improved greatly. Our defense seems to be more purposeful and we're back to the point where we are one of the best at defending against 3 point shooting.

So it still will come down to whether their three back courters can outplay our three. Our defense forced them into going 4-32 from outside the arc in Hawaii. Even if they're now three times as good, 12 of 32 won't take home any trophies.

Man I love Kruger's mentality: "They beat a very good Kansas team that was playing really well, we didn't do that, so we'll have our hands full."

Also, love to hear all that from Odomes. He knows his role and he knows that next year is his time.

I do have a hunch though that we will see Odomes come in during meaningful minutes at some point in the next two games.
