Let's not pretend like Odomes was a good shooter... The guy hit 14 3's his entire career.
All that proves is that he didn't shoot many threes, which I already acknowledged, but as an upperclassman, he shot them well when he chose to shoot them. That's just a fact. In fact, his percentage from deep this season was second on the team behind Bieniemy; Doolittle's was dead last (he shot only four but he hit none of them).
The poster I was responding to said Doolittle couldn't possibly shoot worse from deep than Odomes if he was asked to fill Odomes' role. Given that Doo has, for his career, shot 19-51 (.372) from deep and just 2-for-8 over the past two seasons, I felt that was far from a given, and I offered stats that back me up. We'll never know how Odomes might have done if he'd shot threes more often, we only know how often he hit them when he did, and it was at a pretty good rate his last two seasons.
