....if we could see one major improvement that could immediately impact our season, what would it be? No fake stuff either (like Lebron James joining the team)...

Mine is: If Buddy Hield breaks out of his 3 point shooting slump (he's better than a 31% shooter)...

Any of these would make a difference:

Someone stepping up to hit 3 pointers off the bench. It could be Neal, Clark, Cousins or Grooms but if any of them could shoot 35% for the remainder of the season it would be a huge addition to this team.

Better defensive rebounding.

Consistent offensive production (including more points) from the bench. If Fitzgerald, Clark, Grooms, Cousins and Neal would combine for between 20-25 a game it would be huge.

I'd be thrilled to see Isiah Cousins become more of a scoring threat off the bench. He seems to be a very good defender, especially for a freshman, but his worth would certainly increase if he could hit a jumper a little more consistently.

Aside from the things already mentioned, I would like to see an increase in assists and a decrease in turnovers from Je'lon. I realize he's still a freshman who is prone to freshman mistakes. But his assist to turnover ratio should be improving by now, not going in the other direction, as it has in the last three to four games.

Turnovers. Definitely turnovers. When aren't a bad turnover team, but we tend to be a bad turnover team in losses.

Amath to have many more games like the Baylor game, his new normal, that's not a big stretch at all.

Reduce turnovers; handle pressure better.

Not only does this give the opposition the ball; it typically gives them an easy bucket.

This was key in losses at KSU and KU. It also cost us comfortable leads against OSU and at Baylor.

cousins has to get under control on offense to really be a great asset for our team. i love his defensive toughness and intensity

Heild said he was a "maker" not a "taker" when he was coming in, it's on you kid! But M'Baye is the biggest X factor IMHO. Baylor has terrible coaching, but they have great athletes, M'baye looked like he felt right at home.

It's simple, bring back the fro...

A point guard that could handle the ball well. Not even one that can necessarily score a lot or put up great numbers. Just one that can handle the ball run the offense and not turn the ball over.

Hornbeak and Cousins stay out of foul trouble. Grooms gets multi-game hot on his jumper. Our 3 pt % as a team jumps 5-10 points.

I would like us to consistently get 8-10 points a game from the PG position - shouldn't be unrealistic with three guys getting PT. Getting SOME scoring at the one will definitely open things up for everyone else.

If we had a PG who was close to Quannis White. Play great defense, run the offense, and can score when needed.

Ours seem to have 2 of the 3 but not all 3.

Grooms came closer to equaling White last season than he is given credit for. He averaged 6.7 ppg to Quannas' 8.1, and his assist-to-turnover ratio was a smidge better than QW's.
