Win or lose, this UMBC team has some of the best defense and offensive ball movement I've ever seen.

That K-State game was just ugly bad basketball. Hard to watch imo
Did he cry when it was over.
That play late where UMBC was diving around trying to keep the ball alive.....brought a tear to my eye. Scrappy bunch of guys.
Youre crazy. It was fun. Two good defensive teams
According to Kenpom, UMBC’s adjusted defense was 155th in the nation.

yes. he was crying in the interview after the game.
All in the eye of the beholder. I NEVER want to watch a 50-43 game with both teams shooting about 30%. I didn’t see many guarded shots just missed shots.
I would rather watch teams who can hit shots and not turn it over and over and over and miss and miss and miss. That said I Loved Billy Tubbs ball and Kelvin not so much, this game reminded me of Kelvins years here Yuk.
I'd rather our guys have that kind of scrappiness on defense and heart. Instead we looked like we were auditioning to be Matadors. Give me 56ppg with scrappy d all day over 65-70 with no D.
Scrappiness isn’t going to result in titles. Talent does.

OU is probably never going to have top 5 talent. Certainly not on any kind of a consistent basis.
The last two OU FF teams, one of which I would argue was actually the best team in the country, weren't teams made up of superior players or athletes. They were complete teams, with a couple of really good players. The 2002 team played great defense. 4th best in the country. And they ran a system, played to it, played HARD, and competed. THAT is how OU is going to win a NC in basketball. Not by throwing out a Kentucky-like roster.
