New 2017 Verbal

OU Received a verbal commitment yesterday from Mandy Simpson from Boise, Idaho. Here are a couple of articles talking about her. Don't think she is currently ranked by a recruiting service.

At the football game yesterday I saw Chad T going into the stadium with a recruit and her parents. No doubt it was Mandy.

I've seen her at 6-2. Interesting: the type of player that they are bringing in to be with Nancy. Active rebounder, moves well, scores off layups.

Welcome to Ou... I wonder if we would still have room for Gray and or Davis... Where's norm when you need him.

Welcome Mandy
I looked at her Hudl highlights. She is a good passer and looks to have a good basketball IQ.
She is around 6' and has a good shot. She is exceptional with her left hand around the basket. If she really develops, she could be similar to Peyton. I did not see any defensive highlights, but she looks to have average quickness.

She is exceptional from the left side of the basket. Has really good court vision and finds the open man. Very quick release from outside, and gets good position on the defense down on the block. I agree, don't know how she will do defensively, but you never can have too many good shooters. Looking forward to see her in crimson and cream.

Shaina Pellington is in for an official visit this weekend. She's a 2017 point guard out of Canada. She has played on many of Canada's national teams for her age group.
