Other than the seating configuartaion and the bathrom set-up, I have no real issue with the LNC. Whoever said to gut it and fix the inside nailed it from my perspective....some of the best venues in college basketball are older than LNC, get an architect to change the fasad outside etc. but we don't need a "new" arena.
Just slap the words "Historic" in front of LNC, and all of the sudden it will have more charm [lol].
