Wright on the mound for Texas must be throwing some pretty good stuff. She has 3-hit our lineup so far, with 5 strikeouts through 4 innings, three were looking, I believe...

Texas with a leadoff single... these one run leads make me nervous, just takes one swing to change the complexion of the game.

EDIT: Parker settled down and retired the side, still 1-0 through 4 1/2 innings.

Leading 4-0 going into the bottom of the 7th; we should win this one, barring a collapse, but it's troubling the number of runners that we have stranded in this series...

Not being able to watch the game, only following along via PBP, can't tell how well Self hit the fly ball that ended the inning. Did she really smack it, or was it a ho-hum run of the mill fly out?
Like I said, too many LOB...

We have a singleton vs North Texas Tuesday, then a three game series vs Baylor in Norman. How good are the Bears?

Shelby inched a bit closer to Lauren today with her solo shot, but still quite a way back, trailing 89 - 81. Hopefully, Lauren will see some pitches that she likes vs NTS...

The three shots by Kady:
Home run to left was a line drive
Home run to left center was a towering fly, got under it a bit
The fly to left with the bases loaded was about three feet back on the track, just got under it a bit, high and almost deep enough. About the same place she hit her second home run.
Shelby's home run was the only other real good hit we had. Erin's hit that scored Lauren was a ground ball just off the tip of the glove of the third baseman.
Paige was pretty good this weekend.
I got the feeling that Lauren was trying too hard to hit #90 with her parents in the stands today. She took some ill-advised swings. Her best shot at getting a pitch to hit evaporated when Kelsey left early. It meant that they didn't have to pitch to her with a man on.

Baylor lost two at Louisiana-Lafayette today, 2-1, 11-2 in five.

Kelsey's problems with control continue. Today, she issued two 4 pitch walks to the first two batters that she faced. Gasso had no choice but to go with the quick hook.

Things are looking bleak for Kelsey to snap out of it...
