I skimmed this quickly this morning, but it looks like they aren't going to be giving out as many free 2nd transfers going forward. I like it, but it also means if you are taking a transfer you better make sure you are comfortable having the kid around thru the end of their eligibility.

still lots of gray area in the "accepted" reasons ..

but less 2nd or 3rd or 4th time waivers is a good thing for college Basketball

True, but it specifically mentioned coaching change as NOT being an allowable reason.

I'm still fine with kids transferring, even a second time, but they need to sit out. I'd also like to see restrictions on transferring within the conference.

It's a start, but I'd like to see automatic sits after 1st free transfer.

Sitting out regardless imo is what i would want or at a minimum, sitting out 1 year for in conference and 1 free transfer (not sitting out) for out of conference. And eliminating the grad transfer rule if you used your 1 time transfer already

There needs to be stability in the sport ASAP. every team is a modge podge of transfer players

I get what you are saying on the grad transfer rule, but I look at it another way. If a SA is actually going to go to class and get a degree, I'm a lot more okay with that player transferring than somebody that is just using college to play sports.

Agree about stability though. It's worse than pro sports with player movement right now.

I know, i know. It should be incentivized (maybe add back the strict req that the grad school has to lack the degree that they are seeking to make it slightly less about only sports..) im just tired of seeing dudes on sportsreference.com with 2, 3, & 4, blue hyperlinks to all of the teams theyve been on..
