He can't seem to stay healthy but his last injury was Feb. 2022.
He just had surgery again in 2023... unless im reading this wrong.

You’re definitely entitled to your opinion, but I’d agree there’s an inconsistency with bemoaning the # of portal entries as a disaster when this was a last place roster anyways.Half the NCAA means approximately 160 schools wouldn't want him. I'd probably say that's about right. And he is a miss when Porter not only brought him in, but clearly viewed him as a key cog in the program he is trying to build.
Individually, I don't really disagree. But that is pretty much the same team that just finished where we finished. I don't really see a way for that roster to do much better next year, thus I think we need to find some new players and hope they fit better.

The route to improvement would be through progression of last year's freshmen, the addition of Cooper, a quality big, and hopefully another shooter.
I'd like to see us upgrade the 4 (better athlete, better shooter), and bring in another guard that can keep Oweh/Cooper on the bench. That also assumes bringing in a guard to replace Sherfield too.
I think the only way that Oweh doesn't start is if Cooper does. I would like to bring in a guy like Denver Jones to keep one of them on the bench, but not both. Very few teams could consistently do that, and those teams are competing for the conference championship.
As of today our basket of Easter eggs include 2 incoming Fr, Oweh, Uzan and Goodwin.
Plus Keita, Noweither(speliing) and Moser.
A starting 5 with no real backups.
With no real impact players on the horizon, maybe 5 or 6 wins next season?
0 wins in the Big 12.
Some big splashes better be coming soon. Plugging holes in the roster won't cut it. Adding bodies for the sake of numbers is a losing proposition.
Hopefully miracles happen.

1 Milos Uzan
2 McCollum
3 Otega Oweh/Kaden Cooper
4 Yaya Keita/Jacolb Cole
5 Hugley/Sam Godwin/Luke Northweather
If/when we get a PF in the portal, will move Yaya back to the 5. So far we have 3 combo guards; 2 true freshman forwards; and 2 centers with experience and 2 unproven centers.
I have a better shot at being the starting 4 next year than Keita does.
he is just a place holder at the moment. I think Cole is also coming off injury.
1 Milos Uzan
2 Javian McCollum/Otega Oweh
3 Rivaldo Soares/Kaden Cooper
4 Jacolb Cole
5 John Hugley/Sam Godwin/Yaya Keita/Luke Northweather

2 Javian McCollum/Otega Oweh/Le'Tre Darthard
3 Rivaldo Soares/Kaden Cooper
4 Jacolb Cole
5 John Hugley/Sam Godwin/Yaya Keita/Luke Northweather
Still looking for a starting 4. Assume McCollum will play a lot of minutes at PG.
