Nice article on Austin Reaves and how he is fitting in on the Lakers

The fact that he played 30 minutes in a close game and took minutes from Rondo tells you everything you need to know about how the Lakers feel about him. You can tell he's a great teammate and definitely does not have a me-first attitude and it's awesome to see. I'm happy for him.

i don't think Nunn or Ariza will be in the roation if everyone is healthy ..

(not sure AR will be either)

(i am also i life long Laker fan)

According to Pelinka Ariza was brought in to start if healthy. Bazemore was a back up plan to Ariza. That's what Pelinka said in the off season. Nunn was a regular contributor on the Miami team that played LA in the bubble. They didn't want to lose him . I'm loving what AR is doing, but those vets will be given every chance to play until they show they can't contribute....

As another poster noted, the thing to remember is that there is almost no chance that all of the other backcourt players will be healthy at the same time, certainly not for long stretches. Between injuries and load management, there will be minutes for AR as long as he keeps producing.

Yeah, Ariza and Bazemore have their spots in the rotation locked in, as they're the only legitimate 3-and-D guys. I don't know which one will start, but they'll both get 20-30 minutes. In a playoff game, our best lineup might include both in alongside the big 3. The Lakers have several scorers, but most are bad defenders. It's easy to put in one scorer and hide them defensively, but two is a tall task. AR is going to have to knock down his shots, but more than anything he needs to prove himself a better defender than guys like Monk.

Also agree about Nunn. Looking at this roster, he's the clear cut backup PG. The Lakers didn't offer him the MLE just to have him watch from the sideline.

nice quotes from Lakers HC Frank Vogel

“I didn’t know if he was going to crack the rotation or not, but he really more than holds his own on the defensive end, except for a handful of rookie mistakes as to where to be and what rotation to make,” Vogel said. “But he more than holds his own. And his offensive instincts are outstanding. …

“We were surprised he didn’t get drafted and we’re fortunate to pick him up. I think Rob making a great call late in the offseason and giving him that 14th spot is paying big dividends right now.”

Nunn is locked in ... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

You're embarrassing yourself. Even if you have no understanding of his skillset or the MLE, you have direct quotes from the head coach:

Kendrick is a hell of a player. We did have him penciled in as a rotational guy

...

So it’s a big loss for us. But so is Talen, so is Trevor, we had those guys penciled in as rotation guys too.

Those Laker purples are so iconic. And then Nike goes and puts a giant black stripe down the side.

Who are the ad wizards........
