I must say, for the record, I am not much of a nut (or nutt, as it were). I was much younger when I adopted my OU message board name, but now I am old and wise. :D

A team captain under Capel basically didn't play the 2nd half of the season and is now out at OU. I think that says it all with JC. I think he's a great guy, may be a good coach some day.

1. Capel had a great opportunity and made huge sums of money during his stay at OU. He is a fine young man with a big bank account. The world is his if he wants it, as he can make what he wants of his future. Good for Jeff. Best wishes.

2. OU has upgraded the basketball coaching staff. Good for OU basketball fans.

3. The new OU coaching staff is in the process of upgrading the group of players on the basketball team. Again, good for OU basketball fans.

4. The future, once again, seems bright for the OU basketball program. Good!

5. I presume that basketball players want to play basketball. Nick Thompson and Kyle Hardrick now have the opportunity to go somewhere (e.g., UCO) where they can actually get to play basketball games before their college careers are over. Good for Nick and Kyle. Wish them well.

Again, it is all good. Things are looking up. Optimism is on the rise.

Let go of past conflicts. Focus on the future. It is more fun that way.

Nice post Trav. I was a big Capel supporter and I wish him well, but I am thrilled with what Kruger and Co have already begun to do since coming to Norman. I would hope that all fans here are fans of the program and not of a coach or coaching staff. I want whats best for Sooner basketball! :OUbball-logo:

I was one of the first and most vocal critics of Jeff Capel. In fact, I got banned for my criticism of Jeff Capel.

I really don't think my criticism was moronic or that much of the other criticism was moronic. If you truly don't want to read criticism of Jeff Capel you probably should not bring up his name.
