Playing AT ku in front of 16,000 if this is on neutral floor OU wins by 10

KU is the more talented, better team here.

OU is just scrappier less talent overall with a perimeter game that is hot and cold.

Cousins didn't come to score today, but he came to take too many shots.

OU is a clear Top 5 team. KU is a Top 3 team.

great game. but sadly I'm thinking that we're never gonna win there.

ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE - OU is easily #1 and every bit as talented - they're guys may have more stars but doesn't matter - you must be a lurking ku fan lol

Disagree. KU's got talent I'm not gonna disrespect them. But I take our group any day of the week. Not many teams will take KU to triple OT and outplay them for large parts of games in AFH like we did.

Don't quit your day job bro.

It'll be interesting to see how far OU drops if they win next Saturday. Gotta believe the pollsters will still vote them as high as #2 with the way they played in this game.

Shouldn't drop outside the top 3.

Better team ? We had a FT to win this game in regulation.

OU was more aggressive, which is tough for a talented team to overcome as they aren't accustomed to it.

Hield scored 46 points, but made some uncontested bonehead turnovers. Krugar has to teach them to make passes they can see, not hope are behind them. That should shore up Hield's game.

Jordan scored 27 points, but went inside with strange dishes to nobody.

Two players trying too hard to pick-up Cousin's horrid scoring night of 14%.

I have a feeling we'll be playing Kansas at least two more times this year, so nothing has been settled yet. I'm looking to see what defensive adjustments we make on Ellis when the teams play in Norman.

Fran tweets:

"If you don't have Hield AND Niang in your Player of the Year discussion you've been watching too many bowl games. Equally brilliant."

"equally brilliant", ok Fran, we get it, you don't want to appear biased.

I wonder if Hield can develop his mid-range game. By mid-range, I mean he drives, stop, and shoot his mid-range when he sees that it is too crowed inside.
Kruger coached differently than Sampson. If you watch Kelvin Sampson team play, when it is 4 minutes to go he would hand the ball over to his best guard to either drive to create foul. I know Sampson would give the ball to Buddy Hield when we were up by 6 with 4 minutes to go.

the only thing KU has on OU is that Self is by far a better coach than LK and it's not even close!!!! Why he kept Spangler on Ellis for so long when there was clearly something wrong with him was inexcusable. Once he switched and put Lattin back on Ellis, Ellis disappeared. Why he didn't use Buddy in pick and roll and make their big men guard out on the floor instead of trying buddy one on one which was not effect is inexcusable. LK is not an elite coach and will lose to teams that have equal talent and elite coaches more than not.

FWIW: Seth Davis tweeted that the refs blew the call on the stolen inbounds pass in OT number 3. There wasn't enough room given.

Uh NO - Toupe is really good but Lon is only coach to take 5 different schools to NCAA - I'll take Lon over Aggie

I'll tell you a KS team was good for! At least one scoring drought that would choke out the average human. It didn't matter if they were shooting 3's or lay ups. They'd go 6-10 minutes without a hoop. I hated watching his team's play and I'm glad he's not within shouting distance of Norman!

Ok my rant is over. Thank you coach Kruger!

I am glad we had Lon. He developed his players. Look at his guards, all of them developed under him. However, he is not a good X & O coach like Bill Self or Mike Krzysewski. He need to somehow find a way to get the ball in Buddy Hield hand when the game is close. That is why it is going to be hard for the team to make it all the way.
