Oklahoma launches POY campaign for Buddy Hield!

Everyone needs to go down and watch the video posted next to the #BuddyBuckets hashtag, video is posted on the right.

It's unbelievable.

Holy wow.

Can't believe senior day is next week.

I'm guessing MSU Valentine NPOY Campaign is ok now?

Great stuff.

I might have suggested they mention the level of competition Buddy's faced, with a tough nonconference schedule and playing in the highest ranked conference. It's something that sets him apart a bit from the other candidates, including Valentine.

But they didn't ask me -- haha.

I objected to them sending out swag. To me that's ridiculous and has nothing to do with basketball. I will think it is just as ridiculous if OU does it.

Absolutely agree.

I expect the school to make their case for their student-athletes with an organized statistical presentation, not showering the voters with gifts.

lol

One little, cheaply made, utility pocketknife isn't exactly "showering".

The March of dimes doesn't give a dime and big pharma doesn't give out cheap pens for no reason...

It's brand recognition, which is EXACTLY what the school should be doing to promote their player. The kid is laying it on the line for free, least they can do is give him some promotion.

That is a good point. Especially for someone like Buddy who could definitely be getting paid right now. I suppose that makes me a but less annoyed by it. I still prefer MSU's pamphlets and OU's website to giving away swag.
