SATURDAY'S GAME BASICS
Oklahoma (13-10 overall, 4-5 Big 12) will go for its fourth regular season sweep of Oklahoma State (15-7, 4-5) in the last five years when it travels to Stillwater for Saturday’s 1 p.m. CST game at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Sooners, who beat OSU 62-57 in overtime in Norman on Jan. 11, are 1-5 in true road games this year. The Cowboys have lost three straight contests after a 15-4 start to the season. Saturday’s game, part of the Bedlam Series and sponsored by Oklahoma Farm Bureau and The Oklahoman, will air on the Sooner Radio Network with Bob Barry Sr. and Mike Houck calling the action. It will be televised by ESPN with Ron Franklin and Fran Fraschilla announcing.

PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA STATE
Oklahoma State enters Saturday’s contest with a 16-7 overall record and a 4-5 Big 12 mark. The Cowboys, who have lost their last three games, are 11-1 at home on the season (only loss was to Texas on Feb. 1). They are coming off an 81-74 loss at Texas Tech on Saturday, a game in which they outboarded the Red Raiders by nine but had 21 turnovers. OSU ranks eighth in the Big 12 in scoring offense (74.2), sixth in scoring defense (66.8), 11th in field goal percentage (.444), 11th in 3-point field goal percentage (.329) and fifth in free throw percentage (.675).

Junior guard James Anderson leads three Cowboys who average double figures in points. Anderson is scoring a Big 12-high 22.2 points per contest and adds 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a team-high 1.3 steals an outing. The 6-6, 210-pounder was held to a season-low 10 points at Texas Tech on Saturday. Senior guard Obi Muonelo is averaging 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and is shooting a team-high .432 (48-for-111) from 3-point range to rank fourth in the Big 12. Junior forward Marshall Moses averages 10.4 points and a team-high 9.7 boards. Sophomore guard Keiton Page adds 9.7 points a contest and has canned 46 treys on the year (shooting .354 from long range).

Travis Ford is 39-19 (.672) in his second year as OSU’s head coach. He’s in his 13th year as a college head coach and is 229-193 (.543).

OU-OKLAHOMA STATE SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma owns a 126-90 series advantage against Oklahoma State and has won six of the last seven meetings and nine of the last 12. The Sooners have won the last two years and three of the last four in Stillwater, but trail 58-42 in the series there. Since the start of the Big 12 in 1996-97, OU is 16-13 against the Cowboys and 5-8 in Stillwater. The Sooners have swept the regular season series three of the last four years. Jeff Capel is 6-2 against Oklahoma State as OU’s head coach (2-1 at Gallagher-Iba Arena).

EARLIER THIS YEAR AGAINST THE COWBOYS
• Oklahoma won for the sixth time in its last seven games against Oklahoma State, but it took overtime to get the 62-57 win on Jan. 11.

• OU trailed 42-34 with 13 minutes left in the second half before using a 13-0 run to take a 47-42 lead with 6:30 to go. Down by five with 30 seconds left, the Cowboys hit a 3 with 18 seconds remaining and a follow-up 2-pointer with 3.7 seconds to go to force overtime.

• OSU scored the first two points of overtime (4:35 left) but managed just one point the rest of the way.

• Tiny Gallon scored 13 points and grabbed an OU-season-high 18 rebounds in a career-high 35 minutes of action.

• Tommy Mason-Griffin hit a 25-foot 3-pointer with three minutes left in overtime that put the Sooners up for good. He was 4-for-7 from 3-point range (the rest of the team was 2-for-15) and finished with 14 points, three assists and no turnovers in 43 minutes.

• Willie Warren countered his seven turnovers with 15 points, seven assists (second most of his career) and five boards.

• The Sooners held Oklahoma State to a .275 field goal mark (lowest by an OU opponent in 58 games) and a .200 (5-for-25) 3-point mark.

• OU won despite shooting just .379 from the field, .273 (6-for-22) from 3-point range and .522 (12-for-23) from the free throw line. It went 1-for-6 from the foul line in the second half (missed three free throws in the final 1:48).

NOTEWORTHY
• Oklahoma has won six of the last 7 meetings against Oklahoma State (the lone loss came by one point) and nine of the last 12. The Sooners have won each of the last two years in Stillwater and in three of the last four.

• In its six true road games this year (1-5 record), OU is averaging 63.3 points and is shooting .370 from the field and .289 (37-for-128) from 3-point range.

• The Sooners are averaging 8.3 3-point makes per game. The school record for average 3-pointers per contest in a season is 8.5 (in 1998-99). Five Sooners have made at least 25 treys (no other Big 12 school has more than three players).

• OU ranks second in the Big 12 and 30th nationally with its .737 free throw mark.

• Over the last six games, Tommy Mason-Griffin is averaging 21.2 points and 4.0 assists. He is 21-for-43 (.488) from 3-point range during the stretch.

• Mason-Griffin has made at least one 3-pointer in 22 of 23 games, and at least two treys in 16 of the last 19 outings. He leads the Big 12 in 3-point field goal percentage (.448) and ranks fourth in assists (4.6 apg) and fifth in treys per game (2.3).

• In OU’s nine conference games, Mason-Griffin is shooting .483 (29-for-60) from 3-point range. The rest of the team is shooting .248 (36-for-145).

• Mason-Griffin did not lead OU in scoring in any of its first 17 games. He has done it four times in the last six outings.

• Junior guard Cade Davis is averaging 16.3 points and 4.0 rebounds over the last four outings. He is 12-for-32 (.375) from behind the arc during the stretch and has made at least three 3-pointers in four of the last six games.

• Senior forward Ryan Wright is averaging 5.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in Big 12 play after averaging 3.2 points and 3.7 boards in non-conference action. Over the last seven games, he is averaging 6.7 points (.621 field goal percentage) and 7.1 rebounds. He had 11 points and a career-high 14 boards (10 in first half) this past Saturday in a win over No. 9 Texas.

• Senior guard Tony Crocker, who has started his last 88 games, has recorded his only seven career double-doubles over his last 16 outings.

• On Tuesday, Crocker became just the second Sooner to ever record 1,000 points, 500 boards and 150 3-pointers in a career (Ryan Minor is the other).

• Sophomore guard Willie Warren, who has battled a sprained ankle the last couple of weeks (missed two games), scored 18 points Tuesday against Texas Tech. It was his highest output since Jan. 16.

• Warren is averaging 13.5 points over his last 11 games (4.3 free throw attempts per contest) after averaging 19.6 points over his first nine (7.9 free throw attempts per game).

Let's hope TMG can light it up this afternoon.

I really wish Cade could still hit free throws. He's awful this year.
 
How the hell do you let Page get that shot up? You're 225 and he's about 150.
 
One good note so far, quite a bit of empty seats at GIA for a rivarly game for a Basketball score.
 
This is going to get embarrassing. OU sports this year has to be the worst in 10-15 years.
 
You guys think Fitz or Pledger get in this game? I say no unless we get in foul trouble.
 
This team is so friggin pathetic at times. Letting Eddie Munster Jr. score all over them. They need to swat his shiat back in his face.
