Just lost to a 1-5 Missouri State team in GIA. Reminds me a lot of OU's 2010-11 season with Capel. Ford was riding off of good recruits the last several years. Now they're gone, and he looks pretty much screwed.

Isn't his buyout like 6-8 million even after this year?

At some point it doesn't matter what the buy out is. He's gone.

And the hits keep on coming! Embarrassed by ou, no title or playoff bid. Lost their last 2 hoops games to sorry teams, and their pathetic coach is guaranteed like $8 million still. Their top football recruit decommitted and is a near lock to ou. Lulz

If holder was smart, he would do it now rather than later. They have talent but no chance in Ford's offense.

He might want to check with some of the football players in the Pot Circle and plant some of their stuff in Ford's office or car. Problem solved for the Pokes. ;)

I have never liked a OSU coach as much as I like Travis Ford. I think he is amazing.

OSU has 6 top 100 recruits on their roster, not including Forte who would make 7. They beat OU out on Hammonds, Solomon, Burton, and Carroll.

Those guys look like trash. I don't know if it's the lack of player development or overrated players.

They had great success with ex Kentucky head coaches. Billy Clyde Gillispie could be had on the cheap. :eddie187_jpg_xs:

Since ORU beat Tulsa, and Tulsa beat OSU, the aggots are at best, the 4th best college team in the State, but may be only slightly better than some of our high school teams. Do they play Central State or East Central this year? :ez-laugh: They'd be in trouble!

Yeah, I wonder what happens with Waters.... he's been sucking at Sunrise.

Virtually all long term contracts like the one Ford got are dumb. But this one was baffling when he first got it. I doubt he makes it out of this year.

I think Poke State will be fighting for the cellar position of the Big 12 this year and will have a good shot to win that position!

I think he makes it at least one more year because his buy out is so expensive, and the economy for oil is so bad. Who is going to pony up 6+ million to replace a coach this year?

Eventually losing money will be a bigger deal than how much you pay a guy. Joe C made a move to fire Capel just over a year or so after giving him a big deal I think.
