It could be 31 to go at least that is what my sources are saying. I don't know if that deal stands if we go 0-16 but considering the payout involved I bet he is back next year.
 
You won't even have to get to give up his post privledges all together, just after losses, because thats the only time most of these 0-16 guys post anyways. Look at ABD. He was fairly quiet the last 6 games, except after Cincy. But right now he has 4 threads started on the current page, all anti-Capel, anti-OU BS.

It's so pathetic. I even have him on ignore and I can't escape it because have the threads on the board are started by him and people respond to it so I still have to see all his dumbass quotes.

I can't wait until next year. Not just to see us a win a few games, but so I can enjoy this board again. UNLESS THESE IDIOTS GET THEIR WAY, THEN WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO FINISHING LAST AGAIN IN THE BIG 12 WITH A NEW COACH STARTING ALL OVER.

Just look at Indiana. They are on their 3rd or 4th year of being terrible after Sampson screwed them over. It was a miracle that Capel turned it around so fast at OU and now we want to run him off so we can start over????? Thank God Joe C doesn't think like college kids on message boards.

1)I do think we should let this season play out before we make any reactionary decisions about the future of the program.
2)There are a lot of people on this board that aren't "idiots" that are very, very concerned about the state of the program. Some of those may even be leaning toward Capel being dismissed after the season if we do not at least show some improvement and promise during this season. Again, that doesn't make them "idiots".
3)It's quite an assumption to state that those that fall under #2 above are all "college kids".
4)I understand you're frustrated, we all are (even if for different reasons). I do agree that this board is not a particularly fun place to be right now.
 
Capel turned OU around for a couple years, now OU is in worst shape in terms of talent before he took over. Who would you rather have, the players Sampson left or the current roster for next season?

1.) Nobody cares that OU narrowly escaped Central Arkansas (who lost at home to Lamar by 25 the other night btw) and Maryland Eastern Shore. The entire board was dead after that. Nobody is gonna get on this board and have a party after they had to pull a win against Central Arkansas out of their butts. They just arent.

2.) What is pathetic is that you have me on ignore because I post something different than what you think. Its also strange that you continue to respond to me, call me out, etc when you have me on ignore. Why even have me on ignore if you want to post about me? lol...

3.) I am posting about the current state of the program. Its great that you and a few others want to dig positives out of it. thats fine. That is your right as a poster. But you shouldnt get mad, ignore people like your 5 years old, when others dont want to post the same way you do about OU basketball.

This is a clown post.

Indiana went down after all their studs left when Sampson was fired. He had them highly rated and in first place in the Big 10 and Illinois was going down because Sampson was outrecruiting their staff.

Sampson was fired for making phone calls, and if memory serves me correctly that was a vague rule at the time when OU was caught and punished. I seem to remember a number of coaches getting in trouble for too many phone calls and some are still getting into trouble for it (Bruce Pearl). It's not like he paid a player to come to OU or Indiana like Capel did with Tiny Gallon.
