In this order.

1. Tubby Smith
2. Shaka Smart

That's it. Of the available coaches, those are the only two that would make me happy.

Can someone explain to me why we aren't going after Tubby. Is it his age? 59? I know many of you think the OU basketball program or as some of you call it the Coaching position itself is less desirable than many of the coaches we are after.

But can you tell me that Minnesota falls into that category?

Tubby makes too much money and produces too little.

Why do you think Tubby and Shaka are "available"?

There is my answer on Tubby. Thanks. No way we pay anything close to that. They are available. Really any coach is available. But I was referring to them because they are really "what I thought" were semi-realistic options that haven't officially said not interested or recently signed a long-term contract. Now I know that Tubby is NOT REALISTIC.

And yes, I will be unhappy. I KNOW THAT. Don't need a crystal ball to tell me or any of you that. I just don't see Joey making a good move here. Hopefully I am wrong.

Well by all means. Get Pres. Boren and Joe C on the phone...it HAS to be one of these two coaches. Other than that it is an epic fail and we are all doomed.

Tubby has gotten A LOT of mileage out of winning a National Championship was Rick Pitino's guys.

Yeah. Tubby is terrible.

I like what Shaka Smart has done in the tournament...but I still take into consideration that they were an inch away from not even making the tournament. They were the most discuss about team when it came to talking about who shouldn't have been in the tournament. I'm not sold on him yet.
