Unless I am reading this incorrectly, Gabby Ortiz will play in an all star type game on Sept 29. The game will be streamed. Here is the link:

On the Blue team, only two other players have committed, and both gave reason for their college coaches to look forward to their arrival. Guard Gabby Ortiz (No. 20, Oklahoma) displayed both grit and skill, making threes as expected from a small guard, but also showing no fear about going into the paint. She posted four assists and two steals to go with her nine points.

There are a few players on those teams I would love to have. I'm really happy with Ortiz.

Can't wait to see her on the Loyd Noble floor. Sounds like she is going to be an excellent addition to the Sooners.

The Nell Fortner who was one of the game commentators said Ortiz is about 5'3. She has a lot of heart, I think she will remind some sooner fans of Jenna Plumley.

She is generally listed at 5'6" but I wouldn't be surprised if she is closer to 5'4" or so. I really don't think it matters because she has proven she can play.

I agree.. she also seems like a kid that's going to shine under coach Coale. It was good to see her interacting with other All star girls can't hurt recruiting, you could see Ortiz going over plays with either McKenzie Calvert or 2015 Tynice Martin on the bench. Hopefully she left a lasting impression on Caliya Robinson I would love to have her as a sooner.
