Has anyone here seen him in OU practices? I know everyone says he is a dominant wing guy. What kind of skill set does he have? Has anyone seen the JUCO guy coming in? Is he a legitimate inside player? I would like to think with a quality pg, Pledger at 2, Osby at 3, Fitzgerald at 4 and the JUCO at 5 we could have a quality starting line up again. Thoughts?

I've seen Goff several times. He's a slight upgrade over C.J. Washington. Has a little more height too.

Haven't seen Osby other than his high school highlight video...

Clark will start. Either Osby or Goff will come off the bench.

So we still would have a short line up inside. I was hoping Clark could be our spark off the bench or maybe I guess Osby could. It was my impression they play the same position and that Osby is better.

Geez. I just pictured a fast break with Cam Clark and Romero Osby filling the lanes with Blair looking to throw oops to both guys. I can't wait til next year.

Having athletes like that will make Blair look so much better like Blake, Taylor and Patillo did for Austin Johnson.

Reminds me of this....(48 seconds into the video)

Just replace AJ with Blair, Griffin and Griffin with Osby/Clark and if you'll notice a sophmore Cade spotting up, that would be Pledger. :)

Dude Osby has no chance of not starting.

Because he averaged two points a game at MSU?

There's no way Clark doesn't start.

Pledger, Clark, and Fitzgerald are all guaranteed starters next year. That leaves one spot left because the other is a PG. So we either play small with Osby, or play big with Goff.

6'8" isn't really any smaller than 6'9". It's just Fitz can't elevate off the floor very well, Osby can.

No, because Capel has said more than once that Osby is currently the best player on the team and that we haven't faced an opponent in Big 12 play like him yet.

Clearly, the player the coach believes to be his best won't start.

Aaron McGhee did nothing at Cinncinatti and he turned out pretty good. So you can't always go by what they did at there previous school.

Oh, I understand that. And I'm absolutely not saying that Osby won't be a good player. I hope he's great.

But I still don't think it's likely we will start Osby, Fitz, and Goff.

And we haven't seen anything from Osby in game yet to have anybody thinking that he's better than Clark, who is probably the best pure ball player on our team right now.

Obviously we are speculating here, but I think he starts just based on the talent we have or lack thereof. If he doesn't start immediately it won't be long until he does.

To me, the obvious starters for next year are...
1. PG - Blair
2. SG - Pledger
3. SF - Cam
4. SF - Osby
5. PF - Fitz
Goff, Neal, Newell, C.J. coming off the bench. This doesn't include as yet unsigned players.

Cade is a 6'5 guard and Osby is a 6'8 forward with a 7-foot wingspan. He will help us with rebouding and post defense, but bringing Goff off the bench will as well.

Our biggest issue according to the stats on the Big 12 Conference website is rebounding. We are last in nearly every category involving rebounding because we play 4 guards nearly all game. That will change quite a bit next year.

I would agree that is the likely satrting 5 on opening day.The key will be who rebounds and plays D.While I applaud how hard Fitz plays,he is not exactly tearing up the boards at 5.3 RPG.
