Walk-off 3-2 win over the Horny Toads, in 12 innings. Matt Oberste extended his hitting streak to 27 games with a double in the 12th. That makes OU 20-4 in baseball (not bad - and OU softball is 27-1). :clap

OU has a very good baseball team this year, and our starting pitching has been excellent. Obie is also having a ridiculously good year. I like our chances to get to Omaha with our weekend rotation, especially if some of the inexperienced bats improve throughout the season.

Good OT post. As we all know from being Sooner bball fans on this site, there are way too many "Sooners" who only care about football. They aren't all Sooners, they are front runners. Hey, I absolutely love football. It was my best sport in HS and I was an OU football manager in college. That said, I'm just as big a college basketball fan as I am a football fan. They are in different seasons, so it's very easy to follow both if you really love OU (and sports in general).

I enjoy seeing my alma mater excel in everything! The spring looks very good for OU with both baseball and softball playing so well. I have been following along and it's been fun so far. Once basketball season is over, I won't be done with OU sports. I have other OU teams to cheer for that can make their mark on the university. Now let's beat some SDSU tail and save the Big 12 conference a little bit. I knew we couldn't depend on OSwho to do that. Or the mildcats. Boomer.

Winning run on a passed ball. Good to see our pitching hold up pretty well throughout the game.

+ 1 The only exception to that is wrestling. That's one sport I have zero interest in.

That's the difference between us and lil pokies, Ada. They hang their hat on wrasslin' and cow tipping while we don't. haha.

On a serious note, college wrestling will completely die off if it is not included in the Olympics anymore. Those who want to fight for pay in the MMA will find other avenues outside of college wrestling and learn the same techniques.

Maybe, but it would take a while and it would be a shame.
