W/ the discussion he will probably play for the T-Wolves next season..I don't understand the hype....

2010-2011 STATS
PPG: 6.5
RPG: 3.2
APG: 3.5
TO: 1.8
SPG: 1.6
2P%: 39.2%
3P%: 22.4%
FT%: 83.6%

really?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude is still young and his fast pace game suits the NBA real well... he will be a old school type player, but with a little more flash to him.

he has improved and seems quite a bit better than those stats would indicate.

The guy isn't going to last, if he ever even gets here. He's a serviceable pg for a good team over there, but he can't score, can't shoot, will have trouble getting off great assists because he's not fast enough. Since his stock was at an all time high 3 years ago he has steadily been exposed as mediocre. Either that or he doesn't have the mentality of wanting to dominate and is a passive personality, which is basically just as ominous.

If he has ANY hype left to him at all, the T-Wolves should use that to trade him for a player or for good draft picks.

Remember Brandon Jennings stock dropping because of his year in Europe? It's a totally different game than the NBA.

Very true, totally forgot about him...

Jennings averaged 5.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals in 17.0 minutes per game. He shot 35.1 percent from the field and 20.7 percent from 3 point range in Lega A play.

Then, his first year in the NBA averaged 15.5 points, 6 assists, 3.4 rebounds, shot 37% from 3, 82% from the line, and is the "franchise" point guard for the Bucks now.

Lets assume for a second that Ricky Rubio will have a similar story to Brandon Jennings. They had pretty identical euro-league careers, and I think most teams in the league would love to have Brandon Jennings now.

Starters
PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Wesley Johnson
SF: Michael Beasley
PF: Kevin Love
C: Enes Kanter (who they should draft)

Bench
PG: Jonny Flynn
SG: Martell Webster
SF: Anthony Tolliver
PF: Anthony Randolph
C: Darko Milicic

Rubio won't be close to the player Jennings is. Remember, Jennings spent one year in Europe and struggled with the adjustment, where Rubio is in his home country and has played multiple seasons in that league with the same team. I'll be shocked if Rubio is even average in the NBA.

I still don't think that is a very good team. Rubio is a pass first point guard who is best in the open court, but their best player is Love - who is definitely a half court player. Maybe Johnson will end up improving a bunch and maybe Beasley will start to be more consistent, but right now I don't think that team wins more than 30 games.
