Sooners playing overseas

I believe I meant min salary, as in the lower salary, and that is also to add the adjusted inflation back then because the euro in march of this year was probably still almost 2-1 to the dollar. Now it's not even as much as the dollar.

I get what you are saying, but a euro is still a $1.26. And if you are good over there you can make a a couple million euros a year. Not near the money to be made in the NBA, but Taj made $125,000 American his rookie year plus the team got a small bonus for every win. Not bad for playing a game you love

The Euro went back up a little. When the Greece thing happened it fell to under a dollar. But at one time the Euro was 3-1 to the dollar, that was probably about 2 years ago.

The strongest the Euro has been against the Dollar was in July of '08 when the exchange rate was 1 Euro to 1.5887 Dollars. It was never, of course, 3-1, as that would make it worth about 33 cents. I guess you meant that it was 1-3, but that is not the case either.

I was about to agrue but let's just forget it. This isn't some stupid EU class or something like that. It's about OU basketball players.

I bet Ebi wished Kelvin would let him put up 28 shots in a game LOL. Thanks for the updates.

Nick I wasn't trying to argue with you, I appreciate the effort you put in to this thread. I made my post so someone reading this could get a range of what a guy like Crock could make while playing overseas.

Not really anything to argue about. It's a matter of record what the exchange rates are/were.

I also appreciate you gathering the information about OU players. Nonetheless, what you posted about the Euro was grossly inaccurate, thus misleading about what those players are/were making.

Does it really matter?

90% of what is posted on this board doesn't "really matter." We still post it anyway.

Don't kid yourself tu. These guys would love to be in the league. Trust me. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

Obviously he's not playing anymore but I recall Ricky Grace had a good career in Australia.

It's funny, because Ebe was thought of as a tweener in HS, he wasnt a great shooter, and many folks regarded Terrence Crawford as the better prospect. His game started to change in Barton from a slasher to a shooter. I wish he would have kept the slashing part of his game. He was a real power guard on the high school level.
