Other College BBall Thread 2024-5

KSU with a stunning win at ISU. Just read that they are the first sub-.500 team to win on the road by 15+ against a top 5 team … ever! That loss will hurt ISU when it comes to seeding. Have to wonder if they had a significant hangover from their loss to Arizona.

Just saw that Ole Miss has their third largest crowd ever today and it’s just under 10k. Apparently Beard missed the memo that you can’t succeed without a history of great fan support. He is succeeding first, and the fans are following.
they filled up standing room their building only holds 9,500

Texas Tech was on the wrong end of one of the worst ejections I’ve ever seen today. College basketball rules are a complete joke.

no excuse for that when arizona did absolutely nothing. embarrassing.

So fears gets elbowed in face, basketball play no flagrent. Texas tech player jump passes and hits a player down low. Big 12, flagrant 2 ejected. How does that work?

Michigan beat Rutgers and is 8-2 in the Big 10. One game behind Michigan State for first place. They aren't ranked but they will make the NCAA Tournament pretty easily.

Louisville got upset by Georgia Tech 77-70. First Louisville loss in a month and a half.

Okie State beat Utah they get to travel to Houston coming off a loss next.

We rarely if ever get the benefit of flagrant calls. In a recent game (Arkansas or A&M, not sure which), one of our guys (Duke, maybe?) fouled an opposing player on the elbow with his face.

One thing that should help bubble teams from other conferences is how bad the ACC is again. Pitt is going downhill fast and got blown out at home tonight by a bad Virginia team. That might just be a 3-bid league again unless their bubble teams get things going.
