OU +6 at Texas

I think that's fair. Probably pretty accurate, though I think will be a back and forth game from the start.

Bet on the Sooners!! We are going down to Austin and getting a win. Book it!!

Big game for Buddy, Jordan and Cousins. They should outplay the Texas guards, especially since Taylor is rusty.

If they do, our bigs just have to hold their own and we've got a chance.

Agree, colston. Everyone gushes about the superiority of UT's bigs, but their advantage (if any) in the front court is more than offset by the Sooners' advantage at guard.

They do have the homecourt advantage, however. We'll probably need to be about 6-7 points better than them tonight in order for us to get the win.

Last year in Austin, the OU guards had a big night from the arc as OU won on the road 88-85. OU was 13-of-28 (.464) from 3-point range. OU also hit some clutch free throws at the end of the game.

Also of interest, the win last year was a "bounce-back" win after a tough home loss. Five days before the 2014 win in Austin, OU had lost at home in OT to Louisiana Tech, 102-98.

I think how the game is officiated will have a lot to do with OU's chances. If they are calling it tight down low it could become a problem as UT has a lot more low post depth.

If those officials are no more observant than those for the Baylor game we could be in trouble. One one blocking call against Spangler, Fran F observed on the broadcast that he(Spangler) had been standing there since Tuesday. HA!

Kenpom is predicting 67-64 Texas.

His algorithm has OU finishing 12-6, tied for first in the Big 12.

Tied with KU for 1st? That's awesome. I hope he's right.

I think we have a legitimate shot of winning the conference outright. But I also think it will take better than a 12-6 record. A win over the whorns tonight would certainly get us off on the right foot.

I predicted 12-6 but agree that is probably not good enough to win the conference. I think we'll have to go 13-5 for a share and 14-4 (at least) for outright. If we can get this one it will be big. It will be tough and we're going to have to shoot very well.

I had a feeling we would play well. We were due for a big win.

I think we are underrated and Texas is overrated.

Big guys played huge tonight. Spangler is a stud. Love his energy. If Thomas played as hard as Spangler, he would be unstoppable.

Don't be modest, you predicted it. I was afraid to even add my two cents on the prediction thread. :D

I am proud of this one! I was texting my family before the game telling them we would win. They thought I was crazy. Texas is big but they are soft. We punched them in the mouth and they didn't know what to do.

Last year's team was soft. This team is not soft.

OU is now up to #6 in Kenpom and #3 in defensive efficiency after tonight. Defense was amazing tonight. The switching and trapping was the best I have seen since Kruger took the OU job.

Anyone know what the money line was? I wonder if you could have gotten 5-4. Meaning 5 to every 4 bet if you didn't take the points. I am not a big gambler so I may be saying this wrong.
