GAME 6 (B4A) - OKLAHOMA (6-0) vs ARIZONA (3-2) 4pm CST on ESPN

Jones is supposedly back within a few weeks. I did hear Moser mention Nwankwo coming back before the season is over, but I’m assuming that’s a late conference play type thing
Will nwankwo want to play eligibility-wise?

Really like what I saw from Luke today. Shot the ball well, played stronger than last year and got some big time rebounds. He also played solid defense. Do I think we get that consistently....no. Luke seems like a guy you know what you're going to get pretty quick. You can work with that, and get games like today.

Now if we do get what we did today more consistently I think that raises the bar for this team.

That's about the nicest thing I think I've read from you. You're getting soft. LOL
I love when guys prove me wrong! Moore and Waldo last year, Luke the last two days, and I hope Elvis and/or Miles can exceed my expectations throughout the season.

This was clearly our best noncon win under Moser. Bama was fun two years ago but it came late in a season that was already a disaster, and it was a home game. Winning this game on a neutral floor to give ourselves a chance to win one of the biggest holiday tournaments is massive, especially if we could win tomorrow.

You know, we own Arizona. Always have.
I always love it when OU beats Arizona. I still have a grudge dating back to the mid-1980's when Lute Olson's teams became such media darlings, and I hate those with a passion anyway. Their team and fans always acted like winning was their birthright, in part because they believed their own hype about how amazingly "classy" they were. The Tucson media dubbed them "St. Lute and His Leaping Apostles." Gag me!

The grudge also ties to my 27 years of living in New Mexico and experiencing their blatant arrogance as a program when it came to the UNM Lobos. They looked down on UNM and the state of New Mexico like Texas does the entire state of Oklahoma. And they also had that holier-than-thou attitude (part of that whole "St. Lute and HIs Leaping Apostles" narrative) that reminded me of a certain other blue-wearing bunch of dorks from northeastern Kansas.

But, it also has to do with some disrespectful crap I read in that same homer rag in Tucson when OU beat them in '88 and '89. It was as if we should have felt guilty as a non-media darling team for beating their sainted Cats. One of their local guys trashed OU football ferociously when OU went down there in '89 to play, and it included the blatant lie about a game OU won in '74 against the writer's previous beat team at Utah State. OU won, 72-3, and Switzer cleared the bench at halftime when it was 44-3 - yet the same poison-pen twerp claimed that Barry left his starters in the whole game. I just can't forgive that, so I enjoy it when his current local team gets their butts beat (especially by OU).
