Lunardi just was on the TCU game. Said they and Texas the only Big 12 bubble teams. If Texas loses today and to KU next Thursday, they will be 16-16. He said they would still have a shot to make it in that scenario, so anyone who still somehow thinks we don't deserve a bid will probably lose their mind if a .500 team gets in lol.

Amazing as it may seem, I believe they will get into the tournament at 16-16. They may end up in the "first four" in Dayton, but unless some craziness happens in several conference tournaments....Texas is getting in.

Even at .500, Texas (much like Indiana) has a better profile (more Q-1 wins, no bad losses) than a lot of the teams they are competing against.

I've seen them in a couple"last four in" or "first four out" projections, so I think they are definitely playing with fire. And today's game, against a fellow bubble team, is one of the rare games where the circumstances of the loss (getting embarrassed on senior day by a team that was really struggling) could play at least a small role in the eyes of some,. because this is clearly a game the committee was watching closely.

I think it's highly unlikely they fire him this year no matter what. He has a $20 million dollar buyout. Texas doesn't care enough about basketball to fork over that kind of money to get rid of him.....plus you have to pay a new coach as well. Now next year....you could very well be right.

i tend to agree....but what post-TJ Ford/KD Horn hoops fans there are can't like seeing Rick Barnes splashed all over ESPN for the whole season wearing a slightly different orange. to paraphrase Peter Griffin.....that would grind my gears....

I'd love to see KU have to play Murray St in the first round. Could be a 4/13 game depending on how KU does next week.

Belmont is an interesting case. They have (2) Q-1 wins. They are also 5-3 against Q-1/Q-2 opponents. Their non-con SOS is pretty decent at 69. But 20 of their 25 wins came against Q3/Q4 opponents and they also have (2) Q-3 losses. Could be in....but may come up a bit short.

Miracle Is 16 vs 1 to win(happened once). OU as an 8-10 seed. If you placed a bet moneyline OU would be aproximately +150-170 AT WORST to win straight up. So, no where near a miracle. Now, a win, then a W vs a 1-2 seed....gettting close to miracle status.

For once you are more optimistic than I am lol. I think Virginia is probably the last team I'd want to see. They are not only great defensively, like Tech and KSU, but they are really good offensively. Depending on how Duke bounces back with Zion, UVA is arguably the best team in the country.

Tony Bennett is one of the last coaches I'd want to face in the regular season, but one of the first I'd want to see in the NCAA tourney. Year in and year out they underperform. 2016 is the only posteason I would say Bennett's team performed well, and even then, they lost in a 1 vs 10 seed matchup. In 2014 they lost a 1/4 game, in 2015 they lost in a 2/7 game, and then of course, last year they got blown out in a 1/16 game. 2012 and 2017 were they only years they lost to a higher seed, and those were 71-45 and 65-39 beatdowns.

Don't get me wrong, they very well could stifle us and hold us to 40 points, but if Manek or CJ gets hot, they could single handedly shoot us into the game. In Bennett's defense, you're pretty much guaranteed to get upset every year when you're the #1 seed, and getting matched up against Izzo is a tough draw, but they shoulda been able to safely beat UMBC even if their entire starting 5 got food poisoned.
