So? That just means there are a TON of them on campus. You can't study 24/7. You got to have a break!The student section was pretty poor, but it is the weekend before finals.
I'll tell you this: I am friends with a few students and recently graduated former students who all tell me that the athletic department and OUPD has really cracked down on alcohol, language, etc., which has turned off some of the regular rowdies who show up.So? That just means there are a TON of them on campus. You can't study 24/7. You got to have a break!
I just don't get it. They try and try and the students show less and less. It has me completely befuddled. I can't imagine how fed up the Athletic Department has to be with them.

In all fairness, the students have been horrible for football the past couple of years as well.
It's really pretty crazy how pathetic the students are this year. When I was an undergrad (2000-2004), my friends and I would get to games at least an hour early to get the best student seats. Now you can walk in and sit on the front row after the tip. They're pathetic.
IDEA ALERT;
The university needs to call ticket holders with the great seats in front of the camera to see if they're coming to the game? If they KNOW they're not going to come - then GIVE those tickets away to students or someone who WILL COME. Easy way to fill up those seats and get more people to the games. The seats been paid for already anyway.
They could also set up a priority system where they have people in standby waiting for those seats to open up.

You are only expecting 3100 fans? that is rather low expectations.I predict 6,200 cheeks in the seats.
I thought we would have more tonight.
